"Mommy! Andy is hereeee!" Connor yelled as he came into the guest room. I was finishing getting ready.
Connor came in with Andy. As he did, he gasped.
"Zoooeeemama!" Connor said. I burst out laughing.
"Where on gods green earth did you learn that?" I asked.
"I don't know." Connor said and giggled. Andy laughed.
"You know what Connor, zooemama is right. Your mom looks so pretty." Andy said. I smiled softly.
"Thank you boys." I said.
"You ready?" Andy asked. I nodded.
Connor walked out with Andy. I grabbed my purse and met up with my parents in the living room.
"Be good for grandpa and grandma." I said to Connor. He nodded.
"Thanks you two." I said.
"Anytime dar." My mom said.
"Bye mom! Bye Andy!" Connor said. We both waved as we left.
As we walked outside, Andy offered his arm. I smiled and took it.
"I have you all to myself now." Andy said. I smiled and leaned into him as we walked to his car.
He was taking me out to dinner and dancing. I was more than excited.
Andy opened his car door and smiled.
I chuckled and kissed his cheek before getting in.

Andy sat with me, listening to the band while we sipped on drinks. Andy was glowing tonight. He watched the old people dance in front of us.
He was so thoughtful and sweet.
"Andy...we can dance if you want." I said.
He smiled at me and looked at the old couple.
"I wanna marry you." He said.
I just about snapped my neck to look at him. He smiled and sipped on his beer.
"Andy..."
"I bought you an engagement ring when I was eighteen."
"Don't."
"Why? Aurora I wanted to be with you."
"Then why did you cheat?" I whispered.
"Because I- because I thought that there would be a chance that you and I wouldn't work out."
"So then why didn't you communicate with me? I loved you with all of my heart. I would've said yes in high school."
"Your parents- they...they didn't know about us." He said. I turned and blinked away my tears.
"Hey. I love you. I always have. I made a mistake long ago and I regret it with every ounce of my body. But I wanna switch it now before it's too late."
I bit my lip and tried not to burst into tears.
"Come dance." Andy whispered.
I sighed and grabbed his hand. There was a slow song.
He pulled me in and started swaying. I rested my head on his chest and tried to breathe.
And Andy and I just...danced.

I smiled softly as Andy gave me a glass of champagne.
The countdown to midnight played on the tv. We were an hour away.
"Hey. I'm sorry." He said.
I shook my head. "You're okay."
He leaned down and kissed me softly. I smiled.
"Yes." I whispered on his lips.
"What?"
"Yes. I'll marry you. But give it a year. I need to focus on Connor during this change."
He pulled me into another kiss. I smiled and set my champagne down.
Andy broke the kiss and ran to his room. I smiled and waited.
He came back with a box in his hand. I gave him a look.
"Stand up." He said. I did.
He got on one knee and opened the box. The ring was still gorgeous, even for being almost seventeen years old.
"Andy."
"Aurora Lynn Sperling, will you do the honors and marry me, like we should've years ago?"
I smiled and nodded. He took the ring out and carefully took off my wedding ring. He slid the ring on my finger and took off his own wedding ring.
He stood up and pulled me into a soft kiss. I smiled and kissed him back.
"I love you." He whispered. I giggled and kissed him again, wrapping my arms around him.
"I love you more." I whispered.
"I love you the most."
