11. Underneath the Tree

Andy and I sat on the couch with coffee. Adam was helping Connor open his stocking.

"Wow!" Connor said as he looked at the stuffy in his stocking. I gave him big eyes.

"Wow!" I said.

"Santa did so good this year." Connor said as he looked at all his toys and candy.

I chuckled and kissed his head as he came over.

My mom clapped lightly. I smiled.

"I am going to make breakfast while everyone gets ready for the day if that's alright!" My mom said.

"I'll help you Mrs sperling." Andy said.

"Andy. Call me Bonnie." She said and patted his cheek.

Adam sat on the bed while I finished getting ready.

"Aurora you seem mighty happy this morning." He said. I smiled softly.

"I'm- no it's just Christmas. I love Christmas you know that and-"

"You both had sex last night?" Adam asked. I hid a blush.

"That's probably weird that we both talk about sex." I said.

"Yeah but come on. This is like watching a movie in front of my eyes." He said.

I chuckled. "It was nice." I whispered.

"Atta girl." He said.

I smiled and put half my hair up and put a little ribbon in it. I had a plaid dress and a sweater on.

I smiled before putting on a little perfume.

"Hey by the way. Thanks for letting me take Connor to Claudia's tomorrow." Adam said.

"Oh yeah. No problem. Just make sure to spoil him." I said. He chuckled.

"Always."

I walked out of the room. Andy was coloring with Connor.

I smiled and kissed Andy's head before kissing Connor's.

"Wow. Look at you two go." I said.

Andy chuckled. I rested my hand on his back as I watched them color. 

My mom was cooking quietly. She was so happy.

Andy moved to glance up at me. I smiled softly. He kissed my cheek and held my hand on his shoulder.

I blushed and looked away.

I sat drinking champagne and playing cards with Andy.

"Go fish." He said. I groaned.

"Sorry." He said. Connor came over and got on my lap. I smiled and kissed his head. Adam was on the phone.

"Is dad talking to Claudia?" I asked. He nodded.

"We're going sledding tomorrow!" He said.

"Awh! Fun." I said. I kissed his cheek as I grabbed a card.

Andy gave me a small smirk. I smiled back.

This is literal puppy love.

Andy smiled as Connor looked at my cards. I kissed his head.

Every time Andy looked at him he looked sad. I didn't know why. I felt bad though.

Connor ran over to Andy and got in his lap. I chuckled.

Andy moved him so that he could see the cards and helped him learn how to play.

I'm so in love.

"Okay. We're leaving in the morning and getting back the next morning. He's got everything packed. We're all good. You can take a break mama." Adam said as we sat in Connors room.

"Are you so excited Connor?" I asked. He nodded eagerly.

"Yeah mommy I can't wait!" He said. "But I'll miss you. But I had a really fun Christmas."

I smiled at him and then at Adam. "I think it was even better that dad showed up right?"

Connor nodded eagerly.

"Yeah he is a pretty great dad." I said. Adam smiled.

I smiled back. God I was so tired from last night. It was a great Christmas present though.

Adam nudged for me to go to bed. I sighed and smiled.

I got up and kissed Connor's head. I kissed Adams head next.

"Merry Christmas you two." I said.

"I love you mommy." Connor said.

"Love you too sweetie." I said.
