I woke up to Andy's soft snores. It was early, I knew that. Like four am early.

I sighed and shifted to lay back more. Andy shifted, feeling my stirring.

He pulled me into him and kissed my shoulder. "Sleep." He said, his voice groggy.

"Sleeping. In the process." I whispered.

I could feel his muscles tense behind me. His shirt was off, which really wasn't usual for him.

I turned to face him. He was half asleep. I touched his shoulder, moving to his face. He smiled, his eyes still closed.

"Sweetheart."

"In a deep slumber already. I'm snoring at this point. I'm dreaming of Santa and candy canes and..."

He kissed my lips softly, knowing where they were without opening his eyes.

"Goodnight." He whispered. I sighed and buried my face in the crook of his neck. He lazily wrapped his arms around me.

Until eventually sleep took over again.

I woke up to the bed empty. I sighed and sat up.

I stretched, feeling tired. I could hear talking outside.

I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and brush out my hair. I kept my glasses on, not feeling like putting in contacts.

I grabbed my slippers and threw them on before walking out. As I did, Connor came racing up to me.

"Morning mommy. Jacob and I are making a train track!" He said.

"Awe. Let me grab some coffee and then I'll come see okay?"

He nodded.

I went into the kitchen. Andy was in there already.

"Morning beautiful." He said as he handed me some coffee.

"Hi." I said. He smiled and kissed me gently.

"You doing okay?" He asked as he pulled away. I nodded.

Christmas Eve is today. I've got this. I'm actually excited. Everyone is here.

"I promised Connor I would go see his train track." I said.

"I'll come with you." He said.

We walked into the living room, coffees in hand. I sat next to Andy on the couch.

"Morning." Jacob said.

"Good morning." I said.

"Having fun?" Andy asked. Jacob nodded and smiled.

I chuckled and kissed Andy's cheek before laying back, resting against his abdomen and putting my feet up. Andy took my coffee and set it on the table, along with his. He kissed my head as I watched the boys.

Jacob sat Connor on his lap as they watched the train go. I smiled softly. Andy twirled pieces of my hair as I watched.

"I love you Jacob." Connor said and smiled. I looked up at Andy.

"Awe buddy. I love you too." Jacob said, hugging his little body.

I sat up. Andy rubbed my back. I wasn't gonna cry.

But holy shit I could have.

"It's okay." Andy whispered.

"Mom?" Connor asked.

"Yeah?" I said, holding back tears.

He ran over and climbed into my lap. I smiled and moved his hair.
