CHAPTER 006

It was now Tuesday afternoon and I was walking in between Sunno and Miya towards the convenience store,as I was craving instant ramen and ice cream,while the other two wanted snacks to get them through revision for the end of term tests.

"You know what,I'm gonna splurge because I think I did well on my presentation"Sunno said this while doing a wide eye smile that made me ascend to heaven and back.

"ARGHHH you're so cute"I attempted to grab his cheeks but got my hands smacked away and that once cute expression changed to a serious side eye.

Miya let out a chuckle that made me turn my head back to her and I also ended up letting out a chuckle while rubbing on the spot my hand got smacked.

As we walked closer and closer to the entrance of the store,Miya and Sunno talked about what happened in their previous class,(as they where in the same one)I took out my phone to check the time.It was currently 3:37pm which meant I had a little over an hour left before Soobin came over for a study session.

We all walked in through the automatic opening doors and were greeted with slow,quiet music that the store provided.The sound of microwaves and coffee machines being used was also heard with the beeping sound of items being scanned.

I headed straight to the ramen section,picking out the Samyang hot chicken carbo Buldak noodles.(if you don't like this imagine your favourite noodles)

I placed my phone back into my blazer pocket while holding the noodle cup in my left hand,already walking towards my next destination,the drink section.

I reached for a pineapple flavoured delaffe and walked towards the freezer so I could get a cup of ice.

I hugged the items towards my chest using my left arm as I didn't think far enough to get a basket.

By the time I was grabbing my cup of ice,I was already near the ice cream,I decided to grab (favourite flavour of ice cream) and decided this would be all I got today.

I walked towards the checkout and saw Miya already standing in line holding a basket filled to the brim with snacks,this including,drinks, instant ramen, instant tteokbokki,cheese, crisps,sweets,onigiri, the list could go on.

I couldn't help but think how that would only last me one night and I re-thought whether I should buy more or not.

My logical side was telling me I didn't need to as it would cause me to over eat,AND over spend,but the other side was telling me,that I was already here so I might as well just make the most of it and not regret being hungry later,right...?

I decided not to and I remembered I still have the food Soobin bought me so I just stayed in the line and waited for Miya's food to be scanned and as she was just finishing,Sunno came around and stood behind me.

He didn't bother getting a basket like me and just held the risk of dropping his items,so his hands where filled.

It was now my turn,so I came forward placing all my items on the counter,and as it was being scanned I took out my card before hand, ready,so the moment it came up on the card machine I would be able to click and go.

"Bag miss?"

"Yes please if that's alright"

I was handed my bag from across the counter and waited on the side for Sunno to be done as Miya did the same.

"What happened to being in debt, just yesterday?"Miya asked, as all three of us remembered the events of yesterday and Sun's large rant about being broke.

"I'm over dramatic,I thought we've established that."He said in a 'duh' tone as he was handed his bag and pressed his card on the machine with a beeeep and an authorised appearing on the screen.

I didn't want to eat my ramen now,I was saving it for later,for when my brain power runs out so instead I took out my ice cup and drink to have it on the way back home.I peeled the plastic over the cup and opened the delaffe from the slit on the side and poured it carefully in the cup while reaching for a lid to place on top and a straw to drink from.

Mi was eating her ice cream as Sun was eating his crisps and I was sipping on my drink, delicious as always I thought.

I stopped walking as we reached the end of the street that had 2 paths to then walk from.We all live opposite directions from each other so when I said bye now to walk to the left,sun and Mi would walk to the right until Miya stopped in front of her house and Sun still had another bus to take to reach his home.

It wasn't so bad,as it could be worse but we all agreed to save money and move into a house together in about a years time as we all had our own stable jobs even when attending uni.

I placed my cup on my left hand and hugged them both goodbye before starting my 5 minute walk home since we all decided to walk from our school to the store instead of taking a bus.

I opened the door with my keys and took of my shoes at the door step.I heard loud voices from upstairs and wondered who it could be,because it wasn't my parents.

I properly entered the house,without any of my parents in sight,mum probably will be home soon,I thought.

I went upstairs to my room passing Kai's, and that's when I properly heard the screaming of 5 boys. Meaning Soobin was already here.I mentally slapped myself and opened the door to my room,placing my school bag and my convenience store bag down on the floor and placed my cup on my desk.

"shit,I have ice cream"I turn around abruptly and take the ice cream out of the bag before opening the door to my room in a rush and sprint down the stairs to the kitchen where I can put my beloved ice cream in the freezer.

I let out a sigh of relief after doing so, completely oblivious to the person standing in the kitchen with me,until they let out a loud laugh which frightens me.
