❀The thought of the red plague returning almost gave the Countess a heart attack, but then MC told her that it was nothing to worry about. Still, the sweating, the coughing, and the redness in MC's eyes made Nadia a little wary of them at first, but her fears quickly disappeared.

❀When MC came to the palace, and Nadia sat down with them to have a little chat, she noticed how visibly uncomfortable they were. When the Countess reached for their hand, the apprentice denied her touch. "It's sweaty," They claimed, immediately followed by a cough.

❀"I see," The Countess didn't press the issue and took pity on them. At least that's what MC thought. As soon as they finished chatting, Nadia gave an order. The apprentice was to take a bath three times a day, more if they had time to help with their excessive sweating.

❀The following day, Nadia came to MC's room with a bright smile on her face and a handful of servants behind her, each carrying a pile of clothes. "I had them tailored just for you, my dear MC. It would please me if you wore these while you stay in the palace." But what Nadia felt was not pity. The Countess truly cared for the unfortunate apprentice and did everything she could to ease their discomfort. As Countess and a host, it was her responsibility to tend to their needs. The outfits fit perfectly, and MC wondered how and when Nadia got their measurements. The fabric was light and airy, allowing MC's skin to breathe, significantly reducing their symptoms.

❀As the Masquerade approached, Nadia found herself thinking more of the apprentice. How could she help? What could she do to make their symptoms go away? How could she get closer to them? And again, bathing seemed like an excellent idea.

❀As their relationship progressed, Nadia began to join the apprentice during their baths. She didn't always have time, but whenever she was free, she often asked MC to join her. "My dearest guest, MC, would you join me in the bathing chambers?" Of course, the apprentice agreed. Nadia's closeness and the humidity of the bathing chambers also temporarily eased the coughing. Nadia had her servants add salts and other ingredients to the water to benefit the apprentice's health. Soon, the bathing chambers became their favorite place for conversations.

❀Whenever something Nadia did or said made MC smile, she was over the moon and wished for more. By the time they defeated the Devil, the Countess and the apprentice were in love. Nadia asked for the best doctors to find a cure for MC's symptoms. Until then, they managed to make things work their own way.

❀Due to the coughing and sweating, sleeping was an issue. But not with the Countess lying behind MC, affectionately stroking their back until they fall asleep every night. "There, there. It's alright, love, just let it all out," She said during every series of bad coughs, gently patting the apprentice's back. Nadia always remained calm and understanding, giving everyone who dared to mistreat MC an angry look.

❀With Nadia's tender love and care, the symptoms became more bearable. And maybe they allowed her to spoil the apprentice a little more. If the doctors manage to find a cure, Nadia will be overjoyed and cuddle MC like never before.
