A small delay with the machines had gotten Kit about five minutes behind Jake into linking. Blinking open her yellow eyes she didn't see what she expected to see. Her body was swaying, looking at the feet moving below her it clicked that she had been thrown over someone's shoulder. It was definitely a man as his body was more masculine and she propped herself up using her hands just above his waist. "Could you put me down please?"

Kit was upright and her head spun slightly but not too much that she couldn't see Tay'kat grinning at her. "Was that necessary?"

The male Na'vi chuckled and marched onwards, leaving the dream walker to catch up. "Jake Sully already awoke and when you did not he wanted to go to wherever you were and get you but Neytiri would not allow it. You are both very late. So we will go join them now."

"You were just planning to take me there unconscious!"

He had the nerve to look amused, "I got bored of waiting."

Unexpectedly, Tay'kat gripped the central shaft of Hometree began to climb it. He leapt up it fast, covering metres at a time and she must of stood there like an idiot for a good ten seconds before she realised she needed to follow him. Her arm strength was sure about to be tested, she gripped a small notch in the tree and began to climb.

It took her longer than she wanted to admit. When Kit reached the top she was out of breath, a hand offered itself to her and she grabbed it with little thought and let them haul her up. It was a pleasant surprise when it was Jake. Looking down at the central shaft of Hometree, they were at least 80 metres off the ground and the people of the Omatikaya clan were ant-like.

"I see you," Jake touched his forehead and the zoologists eyebrows raised in surprise. Since when had he begun learning Na'vi? He chuckled at her surprised face and led her by the hand - which were still intertwined - to where Tay'kat and his sister stood. "Neytiri was teaching me whilst we were up here, said she wants to start early if a skxawng like me will learn anything."

"Do you know what that means?" Kit raised a doubtful eyebrow.

The marine chuckled and nodded, "not any worse that what you've called me." Contemplating she supposed he was right, she'd called him an asshole more times than moron.

Kit noticed the children of the chief wore slightly different clothing today with a small wooden headpiece that went over their foreheads in unique designs with small bug wings that arched over their big eyes. They also had leather fabrics around their calves and thighs, like they were ready to get into a saddle.

They were outside on one of the large branches of Hometree. Gaps in the foliage let Jake and Kit see other great trees scatted across the landscape, she wondered if each one belonged to a different clan. Though that was unlikely considering how much territory they were keeping.
