A heavy head and a foggy mind welcome Ivory when she finally gains consciousness. Her muscles are stiff - like any other day after the long list of chores she had to do - but she could not recall doing any. She cannot even command her mind to think. So she lets her senses take over in pleading for help.

A strange sensation hits her when she finally gains a bit of control of herself. Strange yet... pleasant. Ivory shifts imperceptibly, trying to figure out more of her surroundings. She's wrapped in something. Warm and soft, it hugs her body. There's a smell too. A highly intoxicating one.

Pines and firs and wild moist grass and... male.

Her eyes shot open as her body jolts up to a sitting position. She freezes when she meets two sets of eyes staring at her - a man and a woman - studying her from the comfortable position of their armchairs. The man turns and takes a note on his pad while the woman parts her lips to reveal a welcoming smile.

"Good morning. Welcome to Silver spear pack. I'm Lola." her warm tone takes Ivory by surprise. "This is Daniel. We are healers. You need nothing to worry about." she adds when she doesn't get any response from Ivory.

"Wh... Where am I?" Ivory asks with a trembling voice. Her hands are gripping tightly the blanket covering her, her nails digging into the soft fabric.

"You are in Silver spear pack" The male healer called Daniel speaks this time. "You're a guest in the house of our future Alpha."

Ivory's eyes grow even wider when Daniel finishes his sentence. "Of...who?" the words flow out of her mouth as the information sinks.

"Mine."

A dark deep rumble echoes from the shadows swallowing the rest of the room blocking her vision. Amber glowing eyes appear from the darkness as a tall form steps out of the shadows. Ivory's face rises, taking in every inch of his form as the sunlight hits him.

Strong muscular thighs wrapped in dark blue jeans, followed by a trim waist and rising up to a broad chest and shoulders. The white t-shirt struggles under his muscles - clinging tightly to his flesh - revealing a map through sculptured muscles. His facial features are still half-covered by the shadows. Though his eyes are clear as the sun outside, still pinned on her.

Ivory notices his chest moving up and down at a somewhat fast tempo and she can hear his breath going at the same speed. There's a frown on his forehead and his eyes glow brightly. Is he angry at her? Did she do something wrong?

Averting her gaze from him, she lowers her head and notices that the blanket has fallen from her grasp, revealing her breasts - barely covered by the bra and ultra-thin fabric of her nightgown. A gasp escapes her lips as she grabs again the blanket, pulling it up quickly, reaching up to her collarbone.

The strange man's breath calms down more with every second passing. The frown on his face retreats slowly but his eyes never leave her. Although Ivory is not looking at him - afraid of his imposing frame and intimidating looks - she can feel them on her, examining every cell of her existence.

"I'm Wayne. Son of Alpha Mason and soon-to-be Alpha of the Silver spear pack," he announces his identity. This time, his voice comes out calmer and softer and warmer. Totally different from his previous dominating tone a few moments ago.

Ivory tried to lift her eyes to meet him, with small hesitant movements. The imposing aura emanating from his body would have made her shake in fear. And she was.

But this time, there was something else as well...

Ivory could feel her wolf this time. And she was behaving strangely. She should feel the dominance and bowed to her new Alpha commander but she did quite the opposite. She was running around like a pup trying to get attention. She was purring like a kitten. And there was that sense of security that made Ivory even more confused.

That was not the way to show your respect to an Alpha.

Lowering her gaze again, she takes a quick look at the two healers. They stand tall with their heads inclined, paying their respects. They look tensed until he nods them to return to their duties.

"Lola and Daniel are the best healers in the south sector. They will check you for any injuries and provide you with clothes. Once you feel ready to get out of bed, come and find me. I'll answer all your questions."

Ivory nods multiple times. "Th...Thank you, sir," she mutters before the man turns and walks away back to the same shadows he came out of.

"So..." Daniel brakes the awkward silence the Alpha's exit has caused. "Overall you look fine, with no internal injuries, you seem to respond very well to your surroundings and your orientation seems fine," he adds taking out a small pen-torch, and flashing it on her face. "Good response of the eyes as well. No concussion then."

"However, we've spotted some injuries on your back which may require intensive treatment." Lola intervenes with a worried voice. "A lot of them have not healed properly and you risk getting infected. But worry not." she gives a smile. "You're under our supervision now and we'll make sure you will be back in full health at no time."

"Thank you so much. You're angels the goddess has sent in my path," she whispers looking at both of them.

They both stand up in unison, taking their equipment at hand. "I have brought you some clothes and food. Make sure you eat all of it and dress warmly. Get some rest too. When you're feeling better, come to the room on your left. We'll be there for a while until you fully recover. We'll show you to Alpha Wayne's study."

Before Ivory could say a word, they left the room, leaving her all alone, wrapped in a warm, soft blanket that draws her back to sleep.
