JIMIN POV

"Eat up, Snow."

"Daddy needs to make some calls."

Or possibly one, depending on how the first one went.

I'd woken up with a plan.

Maybe it had been talking to Jungkook until I fell asleep that had started the idea churning.

Or maybe it was my beast pushing at my subconscious.

Whatever it was, I had a plan, one I hoped would work.

And if it didn't, oh well. I'd quit my job and find a new one.

I also needed to tell my parents I'd mated.

As it was, they were going to be miffed they didn't know more than ten minutes after said mating. That's how they were.

"Medicine time and then I need to get fancy." Or dressed.

Pretty sure getting on a conference call with my boss
in my pajamas wasn't going
to prove my case.

After Snow was all set, I took
a shower and got dressed.

I even made a little "office" looking set up in the kitchen to make it seem like I had my act together far more than I did.

"Good morning, Jimin." my immediate boss Jiwoo said.

"I was surprised to get your request to meet so early in the morning, Everything okay?"

"More than, I found my mate."

I wasn't sure how I'd have handled this if my boss was human but the walrus shifter's
face bloomed into a huge smile.

They got it... got the amazingness of my news.

I even brought my collar down enough for him to see.

Not because he needed proof.

It was no one's business from that perspective.

I just wanted to show it off.

"And he lives not in commuting distance same state, but..."

His face fell.

"You're leaving us?"

"More like I have a proposal."

We ended up on the call over
two hours but it concluded
with a plan, a good plan.

I was going to work remotely
for three months.

At that time we would reconvene to see how it was working and make adjustments from there.

Any in person things that were mandatory were on my dime but given my parents lived there, that worked for me as I could stay with them.

There was still a lot that
needed to be figured out and accomplished not only workwise but also moving wise but it was
a huge step and I couldn't wait
to tell my mate.

I didn't want him for a second to think that I was hesitant to be the one to relocate.

He needed to see I was all in and never second guess his decision to stay pack Alpha.

Just him hinting that he would give it up for me was too much.

His pack, soon to be my pack, needed him. He was in that position for a reason.

Next I called my landlord.

He was less awesome than my boss, reminding me I had a lease, which I did.
