JUNGKOOK POV

"That was a delicious dinner."

"Thank you." Jimin dabbed his mouth with a napkin.

"Do you both cook?"

Soda water flew out of Tae's mouth and hobi rolled his eyes and handed him a towel that had been on the back of his chair.

With both of our mates pregnant, though hobi was further along than Jimin, Tae and I had also given up alcohol until the
babies were born.

"Sorry." my Beta muttered.

"The idea of hobi cooking is hilarious."

"I'm getting better." his mate protested.

"Well, it was delicious, Tae."

"You must give me the recipe."

Hobi narrowed his eyes at Tae and I held out my hand.

"Fess up." That was Hobi.

"Pay up." That was me.

Jimin looked at me, one brow raised in that adorable way of his.

"I don't understand."

"I'll let my Beta explain."

"Explain away, Tae."

He stuffed a twenty dollar bill in my hand. "Before I do, I can cook. I'm quite good at it."

I jumped in. "But?

"We were busy today."

"Your mate and I had a jury come back with a verdict earlier than we'd anticipated and we were running late when we left the courthouse to head home."

This was taking forever and was one of the reasons I was usually lead counsel during a trial.

"We had a bet that you wouldn't discover who cooked the meal."

Jimin held up both hands in surrender. "So who did make
it?" He turned toward me.

"My mate is a much better
cook than I am and he's a
great baker."

"You remember Hyun from
the gala?"

"Of course." Jimin nodded.

"And I need to confess that he also tidied up while he was here."

"I had a long day at work." Hobi admitted.

We were sitting in hobi and Te's dining room and from the huge sliding glass doors, we could see down the hill to hybe Den, the lights twinkling as darkness approached.

I'd given Tae permission to build the house on den land and in the spring and summer, wildflowers and grass grew in the meadow where the house was situated.

"Have you made a decision?"

Hobi asked. "About the house?"

Our den owned a huge expanse of land so if we decided to build
a house on the hillside, we'd be far enough away from my Beta's home to give both families privacy.

Jimin caught my eye and made an almost imperceptible shake of his head. "Not yet." I told them.

"We have time, The apartment's big enough for us and the baby."

Hobi tried and failed to hide a yawn.

"Time for us to head off." I
pulled out Jimin's chair.

"I'll drive you down the hill."

Tae offered.

"Thanks but we're fine." Jimin told me as he hooked his arm
in mine.

It was such a simple act but it had me relishing his scent and the warmth of his body.
