Cassie saw a sadness in Aegon the next morning. He was the firstborn and she knew that well enough to know that meant he would be king. But he wasnt the heir. His mother didnt seem to like him. His brother and him seemed quite the opposite but Cassie and Peter were different too.

But there was love between Peter and Cassie, not a Targaryen love though. Cassie thought that was gross. Really gross. Aegon showed her the family chart and she laughed out.

"So your father married his cousin. Then his first born daughter married the son of his other cousin. Then your mother was 15 when he married her?" Cassie repeated.

"Yep." Aegon agreed pouring another glass of wine.

"Wine for breakfast, my type of man." Cassie mused leaning back into him. "And your mother forced you to marry your sister... God I could never marry Peter, I would sooner bash his head in." Cassie informed Aegon confidently.

"To live where you live... KNowhere, what's it like?" Aegon whispered kissing her shoulder.

"It's falling a part." Cassie admitted. "We are still trying to get things sorted. The collector was an ass. He was an ass." Cassie remarked flipping through the book. "Left it in chaos and we were stupid enough to think that we could turn it around... why the fuck does it say she married her uncle?" Cassie stared down at the chart. "What the fuck?"

"She had three bastard children with her guard too." Aegon added. "Then he died and she married her uncle after killing her actual husband."

"This place is so fucked up." Cassie remarked closing the book. "I think I would like to remain ignorant about those things while I'm here."

"How long are you here?" Aegon questioned.

"As soon as Rocket and I fix the ship, we head off." Cassie reminded him. Aegon's grip tightened on her.

"I'm not a great cleaner, or a cook, I'm a good bed mate." Aegon remarked and Cassie glanced back at him smiling. "And a drinking buddy."

"What are you on about?" Cassie questioned kissing his cheek.

"Just thinking out loud." Aegon murmured. "What if... I don't know I came with you..." He offered hopefully and Cassie turned around to face him.

"I honestly don't know how we got here. Time travel, we did it before and it was messy. The infinity stone and Thanos, Steve and Tony and..." Cassie huffed out a breath. "What I mean to say is, the jump back, I don't know how it's going to go. We could go splat for all I know."

"I get it." Aegon murmured leaning back "it's fine, just a stupid thought." He grabbed his glass downing his drink.

"I would take you with me." Cassie corrected. "I like you." She took the glass from Aegon putting it down before running her hands over his chest. "I like you a lot, and I havent liked anyone for a while, not like this..." A sad smile curved Aegon's face. "But getting back to our time... I'm used to the risk, but I won't risk you. You have a life here."

"I don't." Aegon corrected.

"You have a family, a messed up fuck your sister family." Cassie murmured. "But a family. Peter and me, we are all thats left of the Quill name. The guardians are our family. It's worth the risk of going splat to get back to them."

"It's worth the risk for me if I get to spend more time with you." Aegon corrected.

"What happens in a month or two or a year and you decide im not the girl you want? I can't just bring you back, we dont know how we got here." Cassie reminded him.

"What if you are the girl for me?" Aegon countered pulling her closer. His fingers tangled in her hair as he kissed her again, her eyes closed as she leaned into him. "What if you are the person I'm meant to be with?"

"I think your wife might have a contradictory statement." Cassie corrected.

"my sister." Aegon countered. "And we don't love each other. We don't really even like each other." he offered and Cassie choked out a laugh. "I never felt a fraction of what I feel right now with you, with Helaena." Aegon begged.

"It's been a day." Cassie reminded him.

"You don't have your ship fixed yet." Aegon countered. "Do this for me." Aegon requested kissing her again. "If you are not madly in love with me by the time your raccoon fixes your ship then I stay here and be miserable thinking about the life I could have had with you."

"And if I am madly in love with you?" Cassie mused as his hands trailed down squeezing her ass.

"Then you take me with you."

"You make it sound so easy." Cassie whispered resting her forehead against his.

"It is that easy." Aegon agreed.

"Madly, truly and deeply in love." Cassie agreed. Aegon smiled back at her. "Gotta seal it with a kiss." Cassie informed him.

"Madly, truly and deeply in love." Aegon agreed kissing her. "But I'm already in love with you Cassie Quill, best get to work showing you I'm the man of your dreams."

"I was dreaming of a one armed super soldier the other night." Cassie offered innocently.

"I can't tell if thats high standards or not, it sounds like a piece of cake but that look in your eye says otherwise." Aegon remarked.
