6. Loop Hole

''Rocket?'' Cassie asked peering in.

''Hunk of junk!'' Rocket spat.

''I am Groot.''

''Yeah, yeah," Rocket muttered ricking at the control panel.

''This is...'' Aegon was speechless. Last night when they crashed he wasn't entirely sure what he saw with all the smoke and fire as they dropped out of the sky. But seeing it in the daylight was magnificent.

''Cool right.'' Cassie agreed.

''Get your grubby hands off!" Rocket sneered slapping Aegons hand away.

''I am Groot.''

''Rocket is being rude.'' Cassie agreed.

"Bah humbug! You filthy animal.'' Rocket spat back.

''Says the literal animal.'' Aegon murmured.

''What did you say!'' Rocket shouted back.

''Chill pill Rocket.'' Cassie begged. ''Can you fix it or not?''

''Do your thing.'' Rocket countered taking a step back and crossing his arms over his chest. Cassie tapped her watch and requested a scan. Aegon stared at her confused. Who was she talking to? Then a females voice echoed through the ship.

''Running scan Ms Quill.'' The voice said.

Aegon watched as a beam emitted from her watch scanning over the ship. Him included. Aegon took a nervous and confused step back.

''Its okay Gideon wont hurt you.'' Cassie assured grabbing his hand.

''Temporal jump malfunctioning. Right engine torn. Jet fuel leaking." Gideon began and Cassie sighed moving around. "Bunker latch and main bay door unable to properly seal. Windshield wipers broken."

''We have windshield wipers?" Cassie countered

''I am Groot.''

''Oh yeah Rocket tried to wipe Thor from the window when he landed on us. Forgot about that.'' Cassie agreed.

''Main screen and Gideon protocols down.''

''Which means we will be flying blind.'' Cassie whispered.

Aegon was impressed with Cassie Quill. Not only was she gorgeous but she was smart. Brilliant. Genius even. He spent his days on their ship as they figured out repairs and nights he took Cassie into flee bottom for festivals and plays. Showed her the best of kings landing cuisine and every night she made her way back to his bed.

Alicent was not happy. Strangers from another land seducing her son. Claiming to be from other worlds and saving the galaxy. What a load of bullshit.

Rocket was fixing his blade secured to his pants as he walked the halls with Peter when he saw Aemond. Really saw him.

''What is that beautiful thing!" Rocket declared jumping up on Aemonds dresser and grabbing his chin. ''Oh it's beautiful!'' He declared happily. ''Beautiful!''

Aemond swatted at him taking a step back.

''You want money? Points? I can transfer them.'' Rocket offered and Peter knew full well Rocket wouldnt waste his money or points on something he could steal.

''You are saying worlds the pirate doesnt understand.'' Peter remarked.

''Right,'' rocket agreed reaching out again.

''What in seven hells are you doing?" Aemond demanded.

''I want your eye. Or rather the gem where your eye should be.'' Rocket begged reaching out again.

''Fuck off.'' Aemond grabbed rocket by the scruff of his neck and threw him out of his room.  ''Vermin.'' Aemond hissed slamming his door shut.

''What did you call me!" Rocket shouted lunging at the door as peter dragged him away. "Say it again! Say it again you coward!"

''Your friends are making friends with my brother I see.'' Aegon remarked.

''Rocket likes shiny and rare things. Also body parts, like Robotic arms or gems for eyes are definitely on his must steal list. I wouldnt be surprised if Aemond lost that eye before we left.'' Cassie informed him honestly. Aegon cackled a laugh imagining the raccoon running through the halls with Aemond sapphire eye in hand.

''Whos telling strange we might have broken the time line again?" Cassie questioned over dinner.

''Again?" Aegon asked leaning in

''Hey hey now we didnt break it the first time.'' Rocket declared

"I am Groot."

"Thats right those damn Avengers did.'' Peter agreed. ''We saved not only to galaxy but the universe!''

"We? Who is this we?" Cassie countered. "You all were blipped away what the fuck do you know about saving. I was stuck with Nebula and Tony for what seemed like forever on that ship. I helped save not only the galaxy but the universe you were in lala land."

"It wasnt la, la land..." Peter countered. Cassie stared back at him. "Right, okay you had it harder." peter chuckled

"Understatement of the decade." Cassie agreed. "Tony and I got on great but that much of Nebula," cassie shivered teasingly.

''Nebula?'' Aegon questioned ''like the stars?''

''Shes a bitchy half cyborg but yeah.'' Cassie agreed. ''So whos telling Strange?''

''Nose goes!'' Peter shouted putting a finger on his nose cassie and rocket did the same.

''I am groot!'' Groot shouted annoyed.

''Man up. He cant speak Groot anyways it's probably best it comes from you.'' Cassie remarked.

''I am Groot!''

''Language we are in the presence of royalty.'' Cassie reminded him.

''I am groot.'' He murmured.

''Better.'' Cassie agreed. Aemond and Aegon shared a confused look as Aegon poured more wine.

''He probably already knows and is going to call you once we are back in galaxy.'' Peter remarked

''Me?" Cassie countered.

''He likes you best.'' Rocket agreed. Cassie flipped her hair over her shoulder.

''Obviously,'' she agreed. ''But I dont want to have to deal with the wizard!''

''Wizard?'' Aemond questioned

''Sorcerer supreme but wait hes not that anymore due to a loop hole.'' Cassie remarked.

''Loop hole?" Aegon questioned

''Blipped away the spot goes to the next wizard in line.'' Cassie agreed and Aegon looked to Aemond. What if Aegon just disappeared? What if he ran away with the guardians and them his mother would focus on Aemond stealing the throne from Rhaenyra one day and Aegon could just live!
