7. Coming Undone

"I think he knows." Cassie murmured.

"Who?" Aegon countered.

"That you decided between me and your glorious dragon and chose me and now im getting the stink eye." Cassie remarked pointing a finger at sunfyre. He huffed a breath at her in return. "Oh he definitely knows!"

"Dragons cant speak human." Aegon corrected.

"You speak commands and they listen. That right there handsome says otherwise." Cassie countered.

"I will talk to him." Aegon offered.

"I dont want to turn into a crispy human." Cassie added. "Talk gently and let him know you are not coming with me. So dont hurt me."

"I had you cuming all night." Aegon corrected with a cheeky grin.

"Talk to your dragon i will talk to my pet." Cassie offered as she walked to the ship.

"I fucking heard that." Rocket hissed as she got on.

"I was talking about peter." Cassie offered and rocket nodded.

"Thats makes more sense." Rocket agreed. Did it though? Cassie pondered as they got to work for the day. Aegon stared back at Sunfyre and damn if cassies wasnt right. Sunfyre knew something.

"Its not personal but shes a human and you are a dragon and as much as I love you- i enjoy her mind, mouth and body more than yours." Aegon took a nervous step back and sunfyre huffed a puff of smoke af him.

"She says no but I can convince her." Aegon added and it was though in those fiery eyes Sunfyre was saying

It had been 2 weeks and three days and Cassie could confidently say Aegon was charming and handsome and a complete flirt with her. She really liked him and knew she couldnt stay forever and she couldnt steal their prince so she had to make the most of their time together.

There was a seriousness in Aegon as he pulled her away slowly unbutton his shirt kissing and licking at her exposed skin as he did so. He knew that her ship was basically fixed. They were still working on the AI protocols so they wouldnt be flying blind. Cassie had spent most of the day trying to reprogram the main control panels. Her fingers had been zapped by so much loose wiring that her whole body felt numb.

So when she got back to Aegon's chambers that night he needed to show that he was the man of her dreams. That she could love him as much he was already in love with her.

"I won't.' Aegon corrected. "I'm a shit leader. No one cares about me here."

"Thats not true." Cassie assured.

"I was married off at 13 to my sister who is a weirdo, we have nothing in common. My mother doesnt care about me. My father he is basically a ghost slowly fading away. He never liked me, he doesnt love me. I dont get along with Aemond clearly. I was a shit to him back when we were kids and we never reconciled. I have nothing here! I have no one! These past few weeks with you I have never felt more alive!" Aegon declared. "I have never felt seen before. You see me."

"I see that you are tied together with a smile but you are coming undone." Cassie agreed.

"Take me with you." Aegon begged. "I love you, let me love you forever!"
