21. She Is My Home

"He's like a real wizard." Aegon remarked as Stephen started a spell, magic ebbed and flowed around him. 

"Yeah..." Cassie whispered leaning back into Aegon. 

"He knows how to send me then." Aegon realized. Cassie let out a deep sigh as Aegon wrapped his arms around her. "I dont want to go." Aegon rasped against her ear. 

"I dont want you to go." Cassie assured. 

'but not MJ... my girlfriend.' Peter declared and Stephen grumbled adjusting the spell. 

'everyone except MJ.' Stephen changed the spell. 'is about to forget your spider man.'

'And Ned.'

'Whats a ned?'

'He's my best friend.' Peter clarified.

'okay everyone but Mj and Ned.' Stephen changed the spell again. Cassie saw Stephen growing more and more annoyed. If Stephen was already edgy Cassie wouldnt be able to convince him that this universe needed Aegon Targaryen.

'And Cassie," Peter added. "Cassie has been like a big sister, Cassie needs to know.'

'you can just tell me again.' Cassie remarked. 

"You are never in galaxy, if I explain it over the phone you will think I'm crazy." Peter corrected. Cassie tipped her head back and forth in agreement. 

"But that seems like-"

'Too late already changed it.' Stephen said.

'and my aunt may,'

'peter!' Stephen said with a clenched jaw, manipulating the spell again.

'it was a big deal and I don't want to have to go through that again.' Peter told him.

'peter,' Stephen warned.

'Happy.'

'no I'm not happy!' Stephen said changing the spell again.

'no happy Hogan... he-'

'PETER!' Stephens hands twisted in the air the ground around them seemingly spinning. Then a bright light and bam. Aegon covered his eyes as Cassie turned her head. 

'is that it? Is it done?' peter questioned looking at the cube, a sparkling ball of rings bouncing around.

'no its not done the spell was out of control. You made me change it 7 times!' Stephen yelled.

'six actually.' Peter corrected silently.

'I'm sorry peter you are just going to have to find another way. If you already called the schools and talked with them I'm sorry-

'wait call the schools?'

'you didn't try and talk to them?' Cassie questioned

'you didn't try to talk to them!' Stephen yelled.

'I got the letter and I just thought.' Peter said his eyes going between them.

'Peter... For such a smart boy you are such an idiot sometimes.' Cassie told him.  

"Get out." Stephen demanded and Cassie grabbed Aegon's hand but Stephen blocked their way. 

"Damn magic." Cassie hissed. 

"Not you two." Stephen corrected. 

"Okay, so just hear me out." Cassie begged. 

"He isnt from this time. I am a time keeper!" Stephen reminded her. 

"Which is what again?" Aegon pondered. 

"He needs to go back." 

"But we can't... thats... he's..." Cassie didnt know what to say. A mix between a grumble and scream escaped her. "I love him!" 

"I love Cassie. My life was horrible. I have never felt more alive." Aegon agreed. "Please, just get to know me. I can woe you and you will see that I'm meant to be here." 

Stephen stared back at them, so hopeful as Cassie waited anxiously for Stephen to send Aegon with the flick of his wrist. 

"He has to go home." 

"Cassie is my home." Aegon corrected.

"Peter is in a box." Aegon remarked. 

"He is." Cassie agreed. "Why is peter in a magic box?" 

"Because I said so." Stephen offered. 

"Get him out of there please.' Cassie told Stephen and he unlocked the magical cage setting peter free.

"I dont understand anything." Aegon whispered. "Thats... he just.... what the fuck is this place?" 

"It's a fucked up world." Cassie agreed. 'okay, spark notes version peter...' Cassie offered. Aegon looked to Stephen hesitantly. 

'when Mr. Stephen tried to help me things went badly." Peter offered looking between them. "And now everyone that knows peter parker.. spider man, is here.'

'what do you mean everyone?" Aegon countered. "I thought everyone already knew and that was the problem." Cassie nodded in agreement.

"Everyone, everyone." Peter clarified. 

'From other universes!' Cassie realized excitedly.

'you are way too happy about this.' Stephen told her. "As if we dont have enough problems with mr dragon man." Aegon puffed his chest. He was Mr. Dragon man, he liked that. 

'Tony would be freaking out right now. After you blipped away and I was stuck with him and nebula, we talked about multiverse as more of a mythical thing, something that was never going to be discovered in our lifetimes...' her smiled dropped, Tony Stark was dead. 'but now here we are.' She pointed at the lizard man and the robot both trapped in a magical cell.

'its frightening how little we know about the multiverse.' Stephen added.

"And then Aegon and well I thought that was more time travel because multiverse, how would the ship even-" Cassie silenced herself. 

'what?' Aegon and Peter countered. 

'okay game plan. We get the rest of the... whatever they are back here and send them home.' Cassie declared. "Not Aegon. But he can help, he was a fighter, hes great. And he can show you how useful he could be in this wonderful galaxy!" Cassie offered. 

'Yes. Find the anomaly's and bring them back' Stephen agreed. "No to Aegon." 

"Yes to Aegon." Aegon corrected hopefully. Stephen shook his head but Cassie nodded eagerly. Stephen gave peter a magical contraction that sent the creatures back to the sanctum and into the cages. 

'wait if I'm gonna do this I'm going to need help.' Peter told them.
