28. Claw Your Pretty Eyes Out

"It's perfect." Cassie declared, completely giddy.

"I dont think Rocket is going to like that." Aegon corrected. 

"I know but I'm going to love it for him." Cassie exclaimed shoving the box back in the bag. 

"It's for cats." Aegon remarked. "Rocket is temperamental you honestly think hes not going to claw your pretty eyes out?" 

"He couldnt if he tried." Cassie offered. "I wanted to get something for Peter but-"

"Parker?"

"Who?" Cassie countered and Aegon chuckled. 

"It's fun knowing things you dont." Aegon mused as he wrapped his arm around her shoulders and kissed her temple.

"You know this is really weird." Cassie admitted. 

"What is?" 

"Being here... with you." Cassie added softly. Aegon stared back at her as they waited for the light to change. "I love it!" Cassie assured. "But I never thought I would get this with... well someone so perfect."  Aegon opened his mouth so say that it was Cassie that was perfect but he saw clint. 

"Isn't that Clint?"  Cassie followed his gaze. "I thought he went home." 

'Clint I thought you went home!" Cassie agreed calling out to him.  "You were supposed to be home! Who's this? Who's your friend? Very young friend... oh my gosh Clint if you were having marital problems this is not the way to go!' Cassie shouted and CLint shook his head immediately. Aegon didnt think he was the best person to ask for marital advice considering he ran from his wife and left her multiverse completely to get away from Helaena and his whole family.

'No no stop no this is Kate and she got into some trouble and I'm just helping her out of it.' Clint assured her.

'Trouble... what kind of trouble?' Aegon asked skeptically.

'Nothing either of you have to worry about.' Clint told them. 'Don't worry you have a good Christmas it's nothing I can't handle.'

'I'm here if you need me though, not for long, I want to get home to Peter and I have a rocket ship to build for Rocket but, while I'm here." Cassie offered. "I have grown used to the smog of outer galaxies that earth gives me a migraine if I'm here too long." she added and Kate Bishop blinked back at her amazed. 

'Oh my gosh you are a guardian!' kate declared 'Of the galaxy right?'

"Yep." Cassie agreed. "Cassie Quill, this is my wonderful boyfriend Aegon."

"You designed some archery equipment I have been watching tutorials on the old Stark tech site." Kate recalled. "They are so bad ass!" 

"Thank you." Cassie agreed. "I used this one for inspiration." Cassie remarked nodding to clint. 

"You are totally my favorite avenger, do you think-"

"Are you a celebrity?" Aegon questioned. 

"I did save the galaxy. Multiple times." Cassie agreed nonchalantly as she brushed off her shoulders. 

'I thought I was your favorite?' Clint questioned her.

'You are but she's so bad ass," Kate offered smiling sheepishly back at him. 

"She is." Aegon agreed. 

"You should see Aegon in action." Cassie added as he kissed her.   'Seriously though Clint if you need anything, anything at all please let me know how I can help.' 

'I will. I promise. I can handle this." Clint assured as he led Kate away.

'We could totally use her though!' kate told him. "And did you see that guys hair? It was beautiful."
