Feeling the rays of the sun coming through the window, tickling her face, Luz slowly opened her eyes, letting her eyes slowly gaze around the empty room, she then rubbed them and sat back up on the mattress, then proceeded to stretch her arms over her head feeling a little pain in her back.

"It's not as comfortable as I thought it would be." She growled softly while she rubbed her back. Without an actual bed, sleeping is not so fun. "But it will do for now."

The teenager lazyly stood up from the mattress and walked toward the window of her room. She then opened it and suddenly got blasted by the cold morning wind coming from the mountains, which made her shiver before looking out.

She watched the not so small town down the hill, it was looking way more busy in the daytime, she could hear some vehicles not far in the town. Letting herself look at it for a little while before hearing a little chirping noise, she turned her head towards the tree where the noise was coming from, and noticed a bluebird on a branch, making its nest, she looked at it and smiled.

"A new beginning." She whispered to herself before she took one last look at the town, before closing the window and starting preparing herself for this new day.

After taking a quick shower, brushing her teeth and hair, Luz put on her favorite hoodie (even in summer she couldn't stop wearing it), a pair of jeans and her usual white vans.

Luz walked out of her room, closing her door behind her, she walked in the small empty hallway with the wooden floor creaking under her feet, she walked in front of her sister's room, she was about to knock on the door, but hearing a faint snore at the other side of it made her chuckle and walk away.

She walked downstairs and went to the kitchen where Camila was sitting at the table, her laptop in front of her with her morning coffee. Luz silently walked behind her mother and gave her a 'morning bear hug' as she liked to call it.

"Good morning, Mami!" She said with a big smile on her face, before moving next to her mother, still hugging her.

Camila chuckled before hugging her daughter back. "Good morning Hija, How did you sleep?" She asked Luz, but was pretty sure that she already got her answer when Luz's face grimaced.

Luz pulled away, then went to sit on the chair at the other side of the table.

"Ugh, I feel like I slept on a rock for like 3 days straight." Luz answered slightly exaggerated while stretching herself again.

Camila chuckled at her daughter's answer. "Yes, I know it's not the best but we need to wait till the movers truck arrives, I hope it's not going to be too long." She said with a small smile before looking around. "Also, did you see Vee? She's normally awake at this time."

It's true, Vee is usually that kind of morning person so not seeing her up at this time is pretty unusual.

"Well, I heard snoring when I stopped in front of her room, so, she's probably still asleep, you know how she is when she gets bad sleep." Luz chuckled.

Camila chuckled again, remembering how grumpy Vee can be when she gets bad sleep, and also how much her older sister likes to tease her when she's like that, making Vee even more grumpy.

Luz looks around the room and how empty it looks without furniture. This kinda makes the house feel lifeless, she looked out the window, she gazed at the sky and the trees slowly moving with the wind, then sighed, letting her body slump on the chair.

Camila took her attention from her laptop to her daughter, who seemed pretty bored. Luz has never been a big fan of doing nothing, she always needed something to do, something to make her think other than boredom. Camila thought for a moment, then she took a pen and a small paper and started writing something on it.
