She kept running into the dark and empty cold hallways, the only thing she could hear was her footsteps and her aching breathing echoing in the hallway.
Not this place...
She kept running before she turned her head, and was only met by the darkness creeping out towards her. Not thinking any longer, she focus on running... and running... and running...
Not again...
She kept running... Before suddenly slowing down, now completely stopping, while in front of her was standing a door, When she looked down at it, she noticed a warm fade glow creeping under the door. Then she looked back up at the door, inspecting it. It didn't have anything in particular, just a simple wooden door, but yet it felt familiar to the girl.
She slowly started walking towards it and stretched her hand toward the handle, when she held it, she felt a warm and comfortable feeling going through her body.
I was never able to come this close...
She looked at the door and then stared at the handle, when she was about to twist it open, she felt something cold getting a tight grip on her shoulder. She snapped her head over her shoulder and looked at a tall, imposing and feminine shadow figure standing behind her.
"Aren't you happy with us Dear? Aren't you happy with your family?" The shadow figure asked with a false caring yet cold tone that the girl knew, oh too well. She couldn't say anything, as if her mouth was completely taped shut, "Now, now..let's join the others, Dear." The shadow figure added, before getting her grip tighter on the girl's shoulder.
While the figure started dragging the poor girl away from the door, the girl felt back the cold air of the hallway as she looked at the door slowly disappearing when she got dragged away from it.
No...no...no...No!
"NO!" She smacked off the hand of the figure and ran back to the door.
"HOW DARE YOU DISOBEY ME!" The figure screamed at the girl while getting taller, so much that the figure completely fit the hallway, "I DID NOT RAISE A LITTLE INSOLENT." The figure screamed again, launching itself at the girl.
But the girl kept on running, fear flowing into her veins, but had a slim glimpse of hope when she saw the door appearing in front of her. She grabbed the handle in panic as she tried to open the door while she looked behind her, the figure approaching her faster than an eagle attacking its prey.
She closed her eyes in the thought it was completely over for her, she felt herself falling forward, but instead of being met by the cold, hard floor of the hallway, she felt something warm and soft.
When she open her eyes, she was surprise to see grass around her, she looked behind her and-
The door...is gone?
She looked around her, she could barely see anything in the dark, but she could still distinguish the shape of trees and bushes all around her.
Was she in a forest?
She kept looking around while picking herself up, she then started walking into those woods, everything was so quiet she could barely hear the branches moving with the wind, and after a few moment of walking, she noticing a source of light not too far ahead, she walked towards it and was met by a familiar large lake surrounded by trees and the fireflies flying around, but the only thing that was standing out the most was a ball of light floating around, glowing into a warm amber color.
