Chapter 5: Two faces of a coin ?

The sun was rising on the Boiling Isle, the birds were singing, flowers were blooming, today felt like the perfect day for a bike ride.

At least, for Luz it was.

The teenager sat on the step of the porch stairs and put on her knee caps, with a smile as her mother looked down at her.

"How long will you be out ?" Camila asked her daughter. 

Luz tightened her knee caps and gave them a good pat to be sure they wouldn't move, before she looked up at her mother, "We'll try to come back before it gets too dark !" She answered.

"Alright, then you and your friends be careful, okay ?" Camila said.

Luz nodded before getting up, "Of course Mamá!" She said happily, before taking her helmet off the ground and putting her head inside, then secured it, "Careful is my middle name !" She said proudly.

"I thought it was 'Danger Otter' " Replied her younger sister sitting on one of the chairs on the porch.

Luz grimaced after hearing her sister's comment, "Uh– Yeah that too, anyway ! I gotta go, bye!" Luz rapidly said, then she took her yellow one strap backpack and quickly rushed to her bike.

She picked up the purple bike before waving at her family then hopped on her bike and rode down the hill to join the main dirt road.

While she was riding down the hills, Luz took her time to admire the vegetation. The trees branches dancing with the wind, the sound of chirping birds, the repetitive clicking sound of her bike and the creaking noise it makes when she breaks a little too harshly.

The sun was burning her but it was still manageable, she kept riding finally joining the main road. As she rode along the sidewalk, Luz found herself in front of a tall metal gate.

She took off her helmet to have a better look of it, the tall gate that led to a pavement path, itself stopping in front of a manor. She'd already pass that manor a few times but it always felt very imposing.

The Blight manor, one of the many residences of Blights, that same family also owns the Blight Industries, one of the most successful security companies in the U.S.

Alador Blight, great-great grandson of the original conceptor and now the current Boss and main engineer of the company, rumors say that he has trouble focusing on his work and always becomes distracted easily, at least, that's what his coworker said.

As for his wife, Odalia Blight, she's the face of the company and the Matriarch of their family. A lot of companies that have worked with her say that she's a great entrepreneur and that she knows what she wants, and always has a wide warm smile on her face.

And as for their childs, well, there isn't much information it's know that they have twins named Emira and Edric and that they are 18yo and they also graduated from High School, they do get spotted in their city either only the both of them or with the same 3 other students of their High school but other then that there isn't much information about them.

And there's less info about their younger sister, Amity Blight, and for cause it's because she's rarely see in public, when she is it's mostly to present a new product of the Blight Industries and outside of it she's always with the same group of girls, Boscha Clart, Skara Thompson, Cat Evans and Amelia Myers. All coming from high status families and well known families either in the industries or celebrity.

"Hey, Luz" Called two different voices.

Luz quickly turned her gaze from the manor to see two identical faces walking up the road toward her.

"Oh, Hey Ed, Hey Em, What are you guys doing ?" She asks the pair of twins.

The famous Blight twins, Luz would've thought that they were more snooty and show off, but after meeting them a few days ago she learn that they were actually really fun to hangout with, true they are pranksters but they are really good ones, and all of their pranks are harmless so, It's okay.
