"Why haven't you pulled the trigger yet, Zariah?" Nathaniel's stone-cold voice came, which evoked dreadful shudders as my grip on the gun tightened when he took a step closer.
"Don't come closer! Or else your blood shall stain-" He cut me off.
"No, I know you can't shoot." I grit my teeth, detesting his void tone. I shivered when he pressed his forehead against the gun.
"What's stopping you? Do it." He challenged. "You can't do it. You know why?" He asked. I took an apprehensive gulp from his piercing gaze.
He lift my chin with his index finger, heartless like ever, smirking darkly at my vulnerability which cannot even pull the trigger as he spoke the painful truth.
