"What did you do, Boss?!" Amanda whisper-yelled in incredulity by his unforeseen action of killing Axel.
She thought they are here to negotiate, torture him, steal all his position and power only to beg him for mercy and tell them Zariah's true plan.
But Nathaniel killed him without thinking twice.
"Why would-" Amanda was about to think but then the sudden fretful realization hit her.
Nathaniel killed Axel so he won't open his mouth and tell everyone that the true betrayer is not him but Zariah. Sufiyan placed her in the middle so if trouble came, Zariah would be the core.
Nathaniel was saving her from being exiled, from the worst outcome.
He helped Zariah.
'Just to make sure no accusations reach her, he killed his own kind. How crazy are you for her?' Amanda thought sorrowfully, pitying Nathaniel's unconditional love for Zariah.
He broke his own rules, you weren't supposed to kill a comrade without evidence of deceit and he did it in a split second.
"Boss? We can't kill him without solid proof. You do realize how badly it could affect us?" Amanda asked furiously.
They were in his domain but the plague's doctor mask displayed his absolute dominance. No one would dare to question Plague Doctor's actions.
"I was sick of his constant deceits. He was a greedy bastard anyways." Nathaniel snarled, taking off his mask and removing the stains of blood.
"What should we do now?" She sighed, unsure of how to deal with this mess.
They annihilated a pillar, the highest underlings of Alroy Family, replacing him would be much harsher.
"None of you had to do anything. The rest is up to me. I killed him, I shall bear its responsibility." Nathaniel said coldly, giving Amanda his mask.
Staring dead at his corpse, Nathaniel moved it with his foot as the blood stained his feet but he wiped it with Axel's shirt before taking a step back.
"You are going to handle his position for the time being. I will do something about this man." Nathaniel breathed out, moving away and sitting on top of the desk.
"What do you mean? What are you going to do? What will you tell people here? He is the top business tycoon here." Amanda snapped.
His actions and words were only perturbing him to fathom what he might be planning to do. Leaving him alone here at this point was dangerous.
"What I should have done long ago and liberated myself from this loop of destruction." He muttered, rolling his eyes off.
He was sick of the nettling in his chest and wanted to rip them out from his chest.
"You are not going to attempt suicide." She frowned strictly, folding her arms. She was not going to let him do something unfathomable.
She will stop him if she must.
"What?! Why would I?" He hissed, glaring at her for speaking something ridiculous like this.
He knew he was depressed and dying to die but there is no way he would waste his life like this.
Life is to be appreciated.
"De Villiers told me to keep an eye on you, you are not to be trusted to be left alone." Amanda scoffed, not placing faith in his words.
She was unsure of what to do, leaving him alone was dangerous, he would do something truly bad.
"What is De Villiers' problem? Okay, I was not stable mentally, I was depressed for the time being but I am fine now. I am not that stupid to flush all my hard work before emotions. You know how much I struggled for this position and power." Nathaniel growled.
