"Please don't hate me, I didn't want to but I had no choice." She was on her knees, begging with tears glistening in her eyes.

"Even if you are a betrayer, a deceiver, but, you have developed into my addiction. I can't leave you"

"And let me tell you."

Pausing, he leaned down to her ears, whispering seductively, "You are the only disease of this Plague Doctor. Still, Zari..."

Taking a pause, he completed his words painfully.

"My heart will ache forever to know my first love is my first ruse."

"Your heart is going to ache forever because your first love became your first ruse."

'Is this your revenge?'

In Central Prison, coming back from a miserable memory, her hollow raven eyes were affixed in the devoid. Repeating that memory continuously, asking herself this question constantly.

Followed by her lawyer explaining the condition of the underworld but her mind was elsewhere.

"The whole underworld is afflicted by Nathaniel Alroy. No one is able to raise their voice against him anymore. We are ruined, no one can stop him anymore, nothing but his slaves."

Liam, her lawyer told her about it, it induced a fiery fire in her heart but no reaction. She remained still.

"The era of Aces came back again... All five of them are ruling the underworld...."

She whispered to herself, pushing the strands of her black hair behind.

Liam sighed in disappointment, looking at her compassionately but the lack of expression on her face irked him.

"Didn't you hear me, Zariah? Do you have any idea how badly we are stuck?"

He asked but she didn't react, staring devoid with unfathomable mysteries holding a gist of blaze.

"They are ruling us, we are his puppets. He is the mastermind who sorted this all out from the very start. We have lost, everyone is under his control." He hissed.

Telling the condition of the underworld after that day, how everyone fell into His web and things fell apart, everyone became his doll of amusement- the ultimate Ruler.

"Zariah?" He called her again, ready to leave but she responded after registering his words.

"I see. so we have finally reached the edge of devastation."

She breathed out after a prolonged silence, closing her eyes momentarily, "The time has come."

"What.. are you talking about? Time for what?" He asked.

Narrowing his eyes in confusion but a devious smirk reached her lips, lifting her gaze to meet his, scaring him by its intensity.

"Falling from the peak hurts more than falling in the middle. Its scars are irrecoverable, the utter defeat." She whispered, smirk growing wider, darker.

"I.. don't understand. What are you talking about, Zariah?"

"Time to turn tables, Liam." She enunciated, rising from her seat, glancing at the guards present in the room, keeping her voice low to remain unheard.

"What are you saying? What can you do? You are stuck here. I can't help you either. How are we gonna do it? What will we do anyways after leaving, he will suffocate us." He said, not apprehending what she can do, she has nothing and even leaving this hell seems impossible.
