Trigger Warning. Blood and Violence

After Alice's funeral, Nathaniel was at the rooftop, tears brimming in his eyes, chest swollen by the constant pain intoxicating his mind.

"Boss..." De Villiers came to check up on him.

He saw him sitting on the ground, hugging his knees, forehead on his knees, barely controlling his breath.

"My heart is so sad today." He breathed out, looking up at him sadly with a teary smile.

"I wish my Mama would be here. She always knows how to handle harsh situations." He whispered, heart clenching to think about the heart ache intoxicating his mind.

"Mama knows everything. She controlled this whole empire all by herself. I am nowhere near her." He sniffed, wiping his eyes to remove the tear but they blurred his vision again.

"If my Mama would be here, she would never let me cry. She would steal my tears. I could never become strong like her." He was on the verge of crying and breaking beyond repair.

Missing his mother's embrace to hold him and say it's okay but all he received was coldness.

"People around me betray me, I couldn't protect my loved ones. I.. am so worthless." Biting his bottom lip, he rested his head on his knees again to conceal the tears glistening on his face.

"I feel like I'm losing it all. Mama, Papa, Persephone, Cinzel, Zari and now Alice... I can't take it anymore, De Villiers. It's hurting me so much."

With countless struggles, tears yet rolled down his cheek in hopelessness to realize he was dejected from life, lost from everything.

"This too shall pass." He whispered, putting his hand on his back to soothe him but it was impossible at the moment.

At that time, he was scared, he was frightened by the siren drowning him in terror, stealing his life away.

"I wish at least my Zariah would be here to hold me at least." He whispered, shutting his eyes to suppress his emotions.

"I want to run away, I want to end this." Shaking his head, he was exhausted from life, this was getting harsher by the upcoming time.

"Losing what you love is a part of life." De Villiers whispered, hoping to do anything for him but to no avail.

"Leave me alone... Please." He whispered, wanting to remain in solitude and give his heart some time.

And he took out the anguish and mourning of his heart in the form of silent tears, crying all alone under the glistening sky, taking out his pain until it emptied his heart.

Until it murdered his emotions, leading him to the point of tears stopped moistening his eyes, until he lost faith in his very soul.

Becoming a heartless person.

After regaining his posture after a week, the embers of her corpse burned his mind.

"I wouldn't be at peace unless he made Brandon pay for his misdeed, showing him true horror." He growled, finding his whereabouts.

"Yes, Boss." De Villiers nodded, going with him as they found Brandon hiding in a dirty apartment with his girlfriend.

"Oh, look who is hiding with his beautiful girlfriend?" Nathaniel laughed evilly.

Tracing his gun on the side of his girlfriend's face who was shaking in appall.

"B-Boss?" Brandon shivered violently to find Nathaniel knowing they would torment his very soul.
