"What do you think? They are similar to yours." De Villiers' Father, Walsh asked, smirking at me while my eyes were fixed upon those hollow raven eyes, crushing a rose in her hand even if the thorns made her hand bleed but it didn't stop her.

Those eyes.

Those eyes.

Those eyes.

I forgot everything but not them.

"Do you hate those eyes?" He asked, leaning to my level but my young self only stared into her haunting eyes, curling my lips upward, I whispered, "No, I love them."

After a prolonged period, I found the eyes from my dreams, the same emptiness but something was still missing. I could feel it under my fingernails. When both of us were empty vessels then why does it hurt?

'I made a promise to those eyes to save them. I couldn't protect those but I can at least compensate by saving another, right? I.. can save Zari.. right?'

I have put so many efforts to ensure her imprisonment in my heart, to thrall her in my domain but one lie broke the foundation I was trying to build. It stole everything.

"Tsk," Scoffing, I walked down the corridor, killing everyone coming in my way, I took my internal dismal on these people.

'What kind of a monster is she?' Just because not a single scratch appeared on my skin, she fought them alone.

'When we are nothing then why do you devote yourself to me? Who am I to you?'

"I will deal with the woman later." Growling, I grabbed Garrison, the special agent of Axel and put my gun in his mouth.

"Where is Axel?" I demanded, grabbing his collar, pushing him against the wall with my gun in his mouth.

"Mhm!" He tried to speak but the gun made him gag, kicking him. I threw him on the ground, shooting his leg and putting my foot over it. Earning a scream from him and killing anyone who dares to interfere. The fiery rage of my heart made me colder than before.

I was not pissed that she saved me but I want to know why.

"Speak up." I ordered, kicking him again, he was writhing in pain.

"What's your purpose for this attack?" I asked, shooting his other leg.

"Boss!" Amanda called, rushing to my side.

"What are you doing? He will die from blood loss." She scolded trying to soothe me but I simply glared at her to not interfere.

"What happened?" She whispered, taking a step back, swallowing hard, frightened by my fury.

"D-Don't be vexed, we got the situation under control. T-This paltry attack means n-nothing." She tried to convince me but my heart is distressed about something else.

I shot his hand, his screams were echoing in the corridor, Amanda gasped by my lack of cognition, being a perfection illusion of Zariah- A heartless monster.

"Speak up!" I yelled.

"He is... here... in California.. We were told.. To.. test your strength.." He cried in pain, trying to stop the flow of blood from his body but without a warning I shot him.

My mind was not functioning properly. All It could fathom was misery and pain for something which was not even supposed to hurt.

"Boss...! What have you done? We needed him." Amanda whispered, frightened at this point by my fury.
