Zoya and Kian's offer letters came in their mails after a couple of days. They both got jobs in different companies, both huge MNCs. Their branches were all over the country as well as abroad, and they had an option to choose which city they'd want to work in. Zoya obviously chose Delhi because Aarti and Rohit were here. And Kian had no reason to not choose Delhi. His parents were here and so were Zoya and Sehrish. Their offices were not far from each other.

Rohit, Aarti and Malti were over the moon for Zoya and Kian. They all wanted to celebrate it properly, but they couldn't since the final exams were around the corner. So Zoya and Kian focused on their studies.

The exams finished in late May, and Zoya had to join the office from July. She had more than a month to herself. That meant that after two hectic years, she finally had some time off in which she could be lazy and just spend time with Sehrish. And Zoya did just that.

But she also had something at the back of her mind. And that was a separate house for her and Sehrish. It was not that she minded staying with Aarti and Rohit, but it was high time she moved out on her own.

Her package was thirty five lakh per annum, which was a lot, especially for a girl like Zoya, who was always held back by the society and didn't even know if she would be able to do anything in life. When she had first seen the number in her offer letter, she had to rub her eyes to make sure she wasn't seeing any extra zeroes.

So with that package, she would be approximately getting two and half lakh each month(after deducting tax and all). She opened the calculator on her phone and started roughly dividing the amount. She was going to send at least thirty thousand to her father. He had supported her when she needed him, now it was her turn. He never said, but she knew he needed money to marry off her two sisters. Then she needed to make a separate savings account for Sehrish's future. After calculating monthly expenditure on groceries and other bills, she concluded that she could afford an apartment on rent upto fifty thousand.

She discussed it with Rohit. Even though he was not happy about her living alone, he knew he couldn't keep Zoya with him forever. She was financially independent now and could take care of herself and Sehrish. But he also didn't want her to go too far, so he asked his real estate agent to look for nice apartments in neighboring areas.

There was another housing society less than 10kms away from Rohit’s society. So, Rohit and Zoya went there to physically see the apartments available.

They checked out four apartments, and Zoya didn’t like any of them. So then the agent took them to the last option available. It was on the fifth floor. Apartment 510.

"This is three bhk. There are also two balconies, one in the master bedroom and other in the living room." The agent said while opening the door.

Zoya and Rohit looked around. The living room was very spacious and the direction of the balcony allowed the sunlight to come in. Zoya loved it. The kitchen was modular, and had a window as well.
All the bedrooms had en suite bathrooms.
