Ziva stared into her phone and read the text message for the umpteenth time. A message she had received from the man who irritated her more than anyone else, the one and only Saahir Khan.
He obviously didn't have her number so he had texted her on Instagram.
The message read,
I am coming to Jaipur. Would you mind giving me a tour?
Why the fuck was he asking her for a tour?
Do I look like a fucking tour guide to you?
He replied back with,
Yeah, something like that.
An irritated sigh left her lips.
I'd rather die than spend time with you.
Now, don't talk like that, sweetheart. It is just one day.
No.
Okay, it is done then. I'm staying at ITC Rajputana. Meet me there at sharp 9 on the 25th.
What the fuck! Did he not read the loud and clear no she had sent him? Or did he just decide to ignore it?
She threw her phone away in frustration. What does he think of himself, ordering her around? She was not going to go. Absolutely not.
And yet she found herself standing outside the Rajputana hotel on 25th, sharp 9 am.
Are you here yet?
He asked over chat to which she replied in affirmative with a stone on her heart.
Five minutes later, she saw him walking out of the hotel. Dressed in faded blue jeans with a plain black shirt. And he had also grown his beard since the last time she'd seen him.
"Hey," He greeted her when he reached close.
She casually nodded her head in response.
"Honestly, I didn't expect you to show up."
"I wasn't going to." She replied, "But then I thought, what if you hired a terrible guide who failed to show you the real beauty of Jaipur and you go back thinking not so greatly about my city. So, not even for a second think I'm here for you. I am here for my Jaipur."
He grinned at her reply and nodded his head. "Sure, whatever you say."
He gestured towards a car that was waiting for them. "Of course, you have a car everywhere you go. After all, you're a nawab."
