Hello, you all.
I don't generally do an author's note in middle of the story, but I had to this time.
A lot of you are telling me how much you would have liked to see Kian with Zoya instead of Shahveer, and I would like to answer to this.
When I thought of this story, I wanted my female protagonist to have an abusive marriage, and the male protagonist to be her neighbor later on. That was the base idea I had when I started to write Fasaana. Kian's character was not even in picture till I reached the chapter where she had to start her college and I figured out that it is natural that she'd make a friend.
It is actually very surprising that you all adored Kian, because honestly, he was a very impromptu addition.
But you all trying to compare Kian and Shahveer is not the solution. Or saying that I'm forcing Shahveer on you guys. Because I am not. It was always about Zoya and Shahveer.
And I get that Kian loves her, and he is a great guy. There is no doubt about it. But you also have to realise that Zoya has spent most of her days with Kian for almost 3 years, and she still didn't get any sort of romantic feelings for him. It has always been platonic from her side.
So it isn't Kian's fault that he loved her, but it isn't Zoya's fault as well that she doesn't. And neither is it Shahveer's fault.
Also, with Kian's character, I have been trying to tell you all that it isn't very wise to wait endlessly to confess your love for someone. Sometimes, because of our fear, we don't tell the person that we love them, waiting for the right time to come. And it works against us. If he had told Zoya sooner, she might have thought about it and given him a chance, or she would have said no right away and he would have tried to move on from that time.
Kian's character is based on so many people in real life who have lost their love because you waited too long. So if you love someone, tell them now.
That's all I wanted to say.
Keep reading and voting, guys.
Much love,
AuthorHera
