Addy's POV

I got myself ready and gave Kiki two thumbs up. She smirked and held up her forkful of pancakes. I readied myself since I was super excited to see Blake today. I was also a bit nervous since I haven't seen him since being back to normal. What if he hates me? I put him through literal Hell and even killed him. Would he be receptive towards me?

"Ready, gorgeous?" Kiki kissed my cheek. I gave her a nervous smile, so she kissed my knuckles. "It will be alright." She assured me.

Before we could move, we heard something hitting the window. A repeated tapping was heard. Kiki furrowed her brows and moved to open the curtains. We spotted Rowan outside. He began cawing, so Kiki opened the windows. Rowan flew to my shoulder and kept cawing. Kiki and my eyes widened.

"You're telling me that my idiotic brother went so far to piss off the light angels that they sent a diplomat?! And that... jeez! Tensions are already high between the light angels and us. They probably think we may wish for another war."

"What are we going to do?!" I asked. Rowan cawed again.

"Stupid Baalam has left Hell?! Really?! And where is he?!" Rowan didn't know the answer. "Who was the diplomat?" Rowan cawed again.

"Hailey?" I questioned. Rowan nodded and cawed again. "They killed her security detail? Did he kill her too and that's why he fled from Hell?" I turned to a pissed Kiki.

"We're going to the light realm now. We need to assure Adira that we wish no harm." I nodded at the devil. "And I promise that we will see Blake after." I nodded at her. "Rowan, alert Gad that we will arrive later today." Rowan cawed again before flying off. "Come, criminal."

I took Kiki's hand and allowed the darkness to suck us inside. We traveled faster than the speed of sound. The two of us were spat outside the light realm. Kiki pecked my cheek before leading me to the border. Right before we could cross over, she stopped. My devil simply stared ahead and made no indication of moving. I turned to her in confusion, promoting her to face me.

"Do you feel what I feel?"

"That I love you?" She blushed and looked down before shaking her head.

"No, but I love you as well." Kiki hugged me. "I mean that we can't pass over."

"What do you mean?"

"Umm... look."

Kiki released her hold on my hand. She made sure I was watching as she slowly reached over the border. I gasped as her skin began to glow orange. Her skin glowed so bright that you could see underneath the skin. Her veins began to bulge and turn black while the orange hue bubbled like it wanted to explode. Kiki quickly pulled her arm back.

"I think they spelled it where no dark entity can enter." Kiki walked along the border. "Wonder when they did this." She observed the invisible barrier.

"What happens now?"

"I'm not sure. I don't know how I can speak to Adira if I can't cross over." Kiki scratched her head. "Well, let's see-"

Kiki was cut off by Rowan flying towards us. Actually, he wasn't the only one racing towards us. Rowan appeared to nod at Gad before flying back to hell. Gad slowed when he was a few paces from us.

"What's wrong, Gadreel?" Kiki asked. "And why are you here and not with-"

"He's not there!" Gad exclaimed.
