^^Addy
Addy's POV
My face was buried in my hands as my hair dangled. I heard footsteps and felt the familiar aura. I looked up when Kiki entered the sun room. Kiki gently smiled before taking the seat next to me. She gripped my hand and gave it a sweet kiss.
"I don't know what to do." She allowed me to speak. "I'm chanting a spell like I know magic." I sighed and tossed the crumbled page to the ground. "This feels like karma for how I abducted those people. I don't know if my baby boy is okay." I faced her.
"We'll find him." She rubbed my hand.
"What do you think happened to him? Honestly."
"What do I think happened..." She sat back and released a deep breath. "I think he was a victim of the attacks. Though, I don't think any demons touched him. I think he was afraid and ran. And maybe ran into a different realm. That's the only rationale for me."
"Why wouldn't they hurt him?"
"Because his scent is marked." I was confused, so she expanded. "Like you... your scents are like my property. He belongs to me. Therefore, no demon would dare harm him."
"Even so... we've made no progress with Blake."
"It's difficult if he entered a different realm, but we will keep searching." Kiki assure me.
"That's not it though." I played with her fingers. "Kiki, we haven't even really discussed Woda or her schemes. Or what that means to be partnered with Geneve. We've spent all this time fighting that we're giving the enemy more time to formulate a plan. All of us can't get in a room without an insult or fight happening. How are we supposed to beat these people if we can't work together?" I placed my head on her shoulder. "And I understand why they treat me this way, but... I just want us to momentarily put aside our differences, so we can work together."
"You're not wrong for questioning the delays. I just see red whenever they disrespect you. I know I should control myself more, but I see the hurt on your face and I just... I want to make you smile. I know you're going through a hard time and I'm here for you. I get that you're depressed-" I guilty looked down. "And it's okay after everything you've been through. You're finally allowing your emotions the attention they deserve."
"How are you not hurt by the fact I'm not jumping up and down about your revival? My reaction must've been anticlimactic."
"Addy, you mean the world to me. When I look at you, I see unattainable perfection. You give me joy by just breathing. And all I want to do is make sure you're okay. Your mental health is paramount to me, so I'm here to offer a shoulder to cry on. Or a face to vent to. I'm here. And I'll always be here." She kissed my brow.
"What is your plan, Kiki?"
"My plan?" She grinned. "Get Lara and Adira involved."
"Oh gosh."
Kiki chuckled and ruffled my hair. I turned her face and deeply kissed her. Kiki smiled into it and held my cheeks. When we pulled apart, I rested our foreheads together.
"Kiki?" She pecked my nose in response. "I'm sorry about Baalam." She sighed and moved back. "I get it since he was your brother and you loved him."
"Love is a strong word, gorgeous." She snorted. "Ya, he was my baby brother, but love... I wouldn't go that far."
"Even so, you miss him. I'm sure your entire family is hurting."
"My mother is probably furious." I nodded since I could emphasize with Lilith. "It's only because she'd be pissed that someone else killed him instead of her." My jaw dropped. "He was an utter pain in the ass, but to be killed by some light angels?!" Kiki rolled her eyes. "How humiliating!"
