Ken's POV

Roman brought his sword down, which I managed to parry. He then glided backwards before striking again. I was forced to use two hands to hold my weapon since I was exhausted. Roman thrashed his sword, allowing me to clang it. He then stepped back and eyed my panting form. His mouth formed a thin line before he sheathed his weapon.

"It's so hot out here." I blocked the sun from my eyes.

"It's actually quite cool out today. And your outfit of choice exposes more skin." I groaned as he dragged me to a bench. "You need to rest."

"I need to train!" I countered. I then broke into a coughing fit since my mouth was so dry.

"I feel obliged to bring you to Yugi."

"No! No Yugi! I can do this!"

"Ken, your vitals feel-"

"What sweaty mess is that?" I spotted Zeli and Cal. "You look worse than death!" She scoffed.

"Hey, Ken!" Cal excitedly waved.

"Hey." I coughed back, so Roman rubbed my back.

"Oh, are you okay?" Cal dropped Zeli's hand to approach me, irking her. "You're so red. Did Roman train you hard?"

"And here I thought he'd be out of practice." Zeli crossed her arms.

"He trained me easy. It's just I'm trying to become fit again since-"

"You're not fit?" Zeli was confused. "How so? You were fit before and train often, so-"

"Ya, I don't know." I sighed. "I'm constantly exhausted and overheating and dizzy." I held my head, so Roman offered me more water.

"Wow, you act as if Roman impregnated you." Zeli snickered. "Well, get out the sun and take a break. Let's go, Cal." She pulled him away.

"Bye, Ken!" He waved as he walked away.

"She's right. You're under mandatory rest with no training." I opened my mouth to complain, but he spoke first. "That's an order."

I twiddled my thumbs as I observed Ellio, Alexxis, and Roman work. The first two were surprised that I tagged along, but Roman stated that I needed some form of entertainment. And I know I asked for entertainment since I couldn't train, but this was beyond boring. My eyes traveled to the window and noticed Haze.

"Hey, I'm gonna go." I left before they could reply. "Haze! Haze!" I jogged to her.

"I'll pretend I can't hear nor see you. That way I don't have to stop what I'm doing." She continued walking.

"Hey, wait." I grabbed her arm. "I need a travel buddy."

"I can deliver you to your room."

"The human realm." I ignored her.

"What? No!" She groaned. "I think you're confusing me with Amara. I don't have an interest in visiting a weak human."

"This isn't to see Logan." I rolled my eyes. "And it's not like you're doing anything. You were switched out with Onyx, right?" She narrowed her eyes at me. "That means I'm correct. Just come with me please."

"You're not even allowed out the realm without a detail."

"You'll be enough. Come on!" Haze flung her head back and groaned while I dragged her to the border.

Haze crossed her arms and stalked behind me while we walked along the sidewalk. She kept muttering about being anywhere but here. She really hated the human realm. I thought it was interesting since her opinion differs from her sister's. Perhaps, it's because of Logan, but Amara wasn't this hostile to the human realm.
