I stare at the sun outside through the classroom window, feeling awfully tired as one of my classmates makes rounds around the room confiscating any and all phones that are within it. It's only morning and yet I feel a strong longing to go to bed and sleep for hours on end. My sister, Shim Su-ae, is also in the same condition that I'm in. Why? Because I woke up late and Su-ae forgot her tie on her bed. Both of our mistakes resulted in us running around the track for 20 minutes.

What made my day even worse was my desk being conjoined with Minu Kang's, Su-ae's beloved boyfriend. I haven't taken a liking to him, because I know how he treats Su-ae and I hate him for it. Though I can't say anything because I worry that Su-ae will get upset.

Minu is always loud and his little quirks annoy me. Currently he is doing one of the most annoying ones of all. He faced the people who were sitting behind us, talking and laughing loudly to one of his many best friends, Go Eunhyeok. I didn't need his loud voice ringing in my ears so early in the morning.

I sigh, lowering my head onto the desk for a few minutes before I hear my phone quietly vibrating from its hiding spot. I look around to check if the boy is still collecting phones and when I find that he isn't, I pull it out of the desk and check the notifications.

I put my phone in the original hiding spot and looked around the classroom. I see Su-ae and I notice her smiling and mouthing a 'thank you'. I smile back at her and mouth a 'you're welcome'.

Class drags on for what feels like an eternity before we are finally let out for lunch. I make my way to the canteen listening to music with my wired earbuds, clutching the phone that lay in my pocket.

When I finally make it to the canteen, I enter the line and look at the potential options of dishes I could get for Su-ae. I think of what I'll do after I drop off the food to her and how I'll spend the remainder of the 45 minute lunch period since most of my lunch group were busy doing some type of club for extra credit that I share no interest in.

My gaze that was once focused on the food in front of me was broken when I felt my phone vibrate. Quickly taking it out, I smile when I see the message that I got and reply quickly.

I smile slightly at the fact that I have plans to go out tonight. Dohwa is one of my best friends, and our bond is completely platonic.

When I hear the canteen worker call "next!", I walk up to the register, ordering a lunch that I imagine Su-ae would be satisfied with.

I text Su-ae my whereabouts and wait on a bench, slumping slightly.

"Thanks Y/N, but I couldn't find Minu so I'll just eat with you," Su-ae says with a disappointed look on her face. I felt pity for Su-ae since she cared so much for Minu and yet he treats her so rudely. I try to ignore the bad thoughts about Minu in my head since he somehow makes Su-ae happy.

"I can help you look for him, there's no need feeling sad about it," I say somewhat cheerfully and sit up straighter.

Su-ae looks at me with a smile and replies, "thanks."

"Doesn't Minu play football during lunch? I usually see him there with his friends." I say and notice Su-ae's eyes grow a little.

Su-ae nods, "I forgot about that, can you come with me after we finish eating?" she asks with a mouth full of food.

I agreed to go with Su-ae and pull out a bento box from my bag. It was filled with the leftovers from the previous night since I didn't have enough time to make anything.

We ate together while talking about various topics. When we both finished our food I followed Su-ae to the football pitch and munched on a chocolate bar I got from a friend. I stop in my tracks when I'm about to bump into Su-ae and turn towards the people on the pitch.

I recognize a few people from our class and take the chance to leave when Su-ae runs over to Minu, yelling to him from the sideline.

I walk off, catching one last glimpse at the students who are playing football. I smile at the few who wave to me. I decide to go to class early and wait since I can't be bothered to do anything else. I feel the fatigue from earlier kicking in even stronger. A nap on my desk seems really nice right now.
