School ended and Eunhyeok texted me to meet him at the internet café. He said he'd come outside when he was done.

I went to a Boba shop near the internet café to do my homework, because I'm not going to be home before the sun sets and I felt like getting all my work done then.

It's now 18:10 and I'm waiting outside of the internet café. Eunhyeok said that we'd meet Su-ae at the movies at 18:30. He told her I was coming and I leaned against the outer wall of the building by the door. I wonder when he'll come out, he's probably in there gaming or something.

I wait a few moments and I hear the door swing open roughly next to me. I fully expect it to be Eunhyeok, but instead it's Minu, desperately running somewhere. That's when Eunhyeok exits the door as well, chasing him. He looks back and sees me standing there confusedly so he runs over and grabs my hand, dragging me along with him as he runs.

I'm extremely confused on what's going on, so I just try to keep up with him. Minu runs across the crosswalk and we're late by a couple of seconds. The crossing light turns red and we have to wait for the cars to go by. We stand there for a few moments, and I look down to see his hand still grasping mine. His eyes follow my gaze and he parts his hand from mine. He looks the other way and I feel my face get a little hot.

I look up again and all of the cars are just about to be done passing. Eunhyeok looks up as well just as all the vehicles pass by, leaving the street empty. We're about to cross when we're met with the sight of Su-ae kissing Minu's cheek. I stand there with my mouth agape and Eunhyeok just stares at the sight.

Looking at the ground as if to be thinking about something, he says, "Let's go."

I take one look back at Su-ae, who is smiling at Minu. He's smiling back at her. I turn back to Eunhyeok and he clutches my wrist, once again dragging me with him, away from the scene.

"I don't really feel like going to the movies anymore. I mean, what's the point if it looks like she just got back with Minu?" Eunhyeok blurts. The sky is orange and the sun is beginning to set fast. I silently nod even though he isn't looking at me.

We keep walking and he lets go of my wrist when we're a few streets away. We sat on a sidewalk bench illuminated by the streetlight. We sit next to each other in silence and the sky just gets darker as time goes on. I remember to text Su-ae that we're cancelling on our plans today. As I'm doing that, I ask Eunhyeok, "I'm kind of hungry, wanna go to McDonald's?"

I want to do at least something because we ended up missing the movies. He turns his head to look at me and says, "Sure."

We get up from the bench and walk to the closest McDonald's. When we arrive Eunhyeok opens the door and waits for me to walk inside. I'm met with the familiar scent of fries as soon as we walk in. It's pretty empty with the exception of a group of kids that look to be a few years younger than us hanging out in the back eating near the Playplace. We walk over to the register where the cashier is waiting to take our order.

I tilt my head up at Eunhyeok and an idea pops into my head. "Do you want to buy three Happy Meals each and do a figure unboxing? They have Minions toys!"

He doesn't do anything but stand there for a bit and I only realize that he has been thinking when he does a little nod and looks at me. I smile lightly and make my way to the register to order. Eunhyeok waits behind me patiently.

"Hello, may I please get three Happy Meals with chicken nuggets, fries, apple slices, and apple juice in all of them?" I ask politely.

"Of course! That will be 19,000 won." The cashier says, pressing the buttons on the register to read the total sum.

I take the bills out of my wallet and hand them to the cashier. She hands me a ticket with my number on it and I move to the side so that Eunhyeok can order next.

"Hey, could I get three happy meals as well? Two with hamburgers, one with chicken nuggets? All with orange juice. Oh, and extra ketchup packets please?" He asks.

"Yeah, sure. That'll also be 19,000 won." The cashier reads out the total from the machine again.

He hands the bills to them and they give him the ticket for his food. He joins me at the front table to wait for our food. I get all of my stuff first and take a few fries out of the bag as I wait for Eunhyeok. Once Eunhyeok receives his food as well, we start walking to the exit and leave.

"Do you want to go to the playground near my apartment?" I ask Eunhyeok. Both of our hands are full with Happy Meals.

He gives me a simple 'sure' and walks next to me looking inside the bag.

We walked to the park which isn't far from where the McDonald's was. Upon our arrival, we climb up the stairs of the playscape and sit on the highest platform. We arrange our Happy Meals next to us.

I pull out a box of chicken nuggets from one of my bags. I sit there and eat them as Eunhyeok eats one of his burgers. After we finish one of our Happy Meals each I pull out the blind bag at the bottom and Eunhyeok copies me.

We rip them open and there is a little slip of paper with all of the figures of Despicable Me characters you can get on it. I pull the character I received out and find that I got a Gru figure. I smile and laugh at the paint job on his face. I show it to Eunhyeok and he chuckles. He opens his blind bag, ignoring the piece of paper. He pulls out a Minion that I recognize is Bob. He looks at it confused and shows it to me. It has a little string attached to its head as a keychain.

"You should put it on your bag!" I exclaim. He pulls his backpack closer to him and hooks it onto one of the zippers, flicking it with his fingers before turning his attention back to the other two blind bags in front of him.

We continue to open the rest of our blind bags because we're both full from finishing only one bag of Happy Meal each. I push my food to the side and I decide to save it for later. Maybe I could give it to Su-ae or Ra-im if they want it. It'll probably be cold by then, but there is always a microwave for that.

Eunhyeok continues eating the small fries from another bag. When we're done opening all of our toys, we compile them into the middle of the both of us and look at the ones that we got. I got a Gru figure, a Stuart figure, and the Bob keychain. Eunhyeok got the Bob keychain, a Carl keychain, and a Kevin figure. We discover that we both got the Bob keychain. Since it's the only keychain I got, I hook it onto my bag as well. Eunhyeok offers me the two other toys he got and I take them happily. I put them in my bag and planned to display them when I got home.

I chuckle as I point out the fact that we have matching keychains. He ever so slightly smiles and nods his head. I yawn. I rest my head against one of the poles on the playscape and slowly fall asleep.

I woke up to Eunhyeok shaking my shoulders. He shoves his Jellypop phone in my face and the time reads 20:03. "I've been asleep for almost half an hour?" I ask, groggily. He nods. "Why didn't you wake me up?"

"I was on my phone while you were sleeping. I realized that I should wake you up when I checked the time," he says and returns back to where he was sitting across from me. I stretch my arms and close my eyes again.

"Should we go back now?" I question him. It's fully dark now, the only light illuminating the area around us being the streetlights on the side of the nearby road. I think about how my hair is probably disheveled now.

"Yeah, I guess so." Eunhyeok says to me and then gets up, grabbing his bag. I glance at the Bob keychain swinging from one of his zippers and look at mine as I pick my own bag up.

We gather the rest of our things and then climb down the playscape. Eunhyeok walks with me to my apartment and says bye. I wave goodbye and walk into the elevator and watch him walk away from it as the doors shut.

I grin to myself as I reminisce on the events with Eunhyeok this evening. How he looked confused each time he opened a new blind bag. How he allowed me to sleep, knowing how tired I was. How he looked in the dim light...?
