The next morning I wake up, memories from the previous night don't seem to strike my consciousness till I get up and unplug my phone, swiping it open. I check my unread messages and see the texts Eunhyeok sent me after I fell asleep.

Eunhyeok :)
Why did you leave without everyone?
Did something happen?
Y/N are you still there?

Just then, I hear the voice of Ra-im calling me from the kitchen. I put my phone down and rub my eyes.
"Y/N? Are you up yet? Do you want to come with me to get food at a café?" She calls.
"Uhm... Sure! I'll be right there," I yell back and stretch my arms. I could use the distraction.
I run to the bathroom, quickly brushing my teeth and washing my face. I run back to my room and get properly dressed. Ra-im watches me do so, leaning against my door frame and watches as I apply lotion to my hands.
"Are you done now?" She asks with a smile.
"Yeah, we can go now," I affirm. We walk over to the door and take the elevator down, both deciding to walk because of the refreshing weather and short distance.
"Do you want to come shopping with me today? It's Saturday so I think there'll be sales discounts at this clothing store I like to go to. I think that they have clothes that you'll like too," Ra-im talks from beside me and I hum, agreeing to go. It's not like I have anything to do today anyways.
We arrive at the café and I walk over to the glass display cases of food and sweets, trying to decide on what I'd like to order.
"Hey Ra-im. What do you think that I should get?" I ask, pacing back and forth between the different food options. I don't get any response from her, so I look to my side where I'd expect her to be, deciding on what she wants too.
When I find that she's not there, I look around, my eyes searching for her. Maybe she's just securing us a table or something, so I shrug it off and order once I've decided on what to eat.
I walk over to the area where the booths and tables are, looking at each of them to find Ra-im. Before giving up and taking a seat in the back I hear her calling me over from somewhere. I rapidly turn around at the sound of her voice.
"Y/N, look! Su-ae and Eunhyeok are here too!" She calls, waving me over with a smile on her face.
I'm met with the sight of Eunhyeok and Su-ae sitting on the same side of the booth, Ra-im sitting across from Su-ae and motioning for me to sit across from Eunhyeok. Eunhyeok is practically glued to Su-ae's side as he stares at me, eyes frantically scanning me up and down, almost in a panicked yet worried state.
I hesitantly walk over, unsure of what to feel. What are they doing together on a Saturday? Su-ae didn't even tell me anything about her plans. I push any emotions that are threatening to make their way to the surface back and slowly sit down next to Ra-im.
"I guess the rumors didn't just come from nowhere. I can see why someone might assume things about you two," Ra-im says, smiling at them brightly. I can tell that she's trying to instigate something.
But, what rumors? About what? Su-ae and Eunhyeok being together? Are they actually together?
The tension in the air between all of us is thick, the silence almost producing an involuntary ringing in my ear. I turn my attention to the floor underneath the booth. I know I'm being dramatic but I don't want to be here right now, seeing the two together after what Eunhyeok told me.
"What's wrong? Why are you guys so quiet? Were you talking about something secretive?" Ra-im asks, seemingly innocently, but I know what she's trying. She smiles in a way she knows she's right but is interrupted by Su-ae clearing her throat.
"Y/N, can we talk for a minute?" I silently nod and stand up. She scoots out of the booth, past Eunhyeok, and I follow her to a secluded area by the entrance of the café.
"What are you doing here with Ra-im?" She asks me, narrowing her eyes and glancing over at the table to make sure that Ra-im is still sitting there.
"What are you doing here with Eunhyeok?" I ask, folding my arms over my chest calmly.
At my question, her breath gets caught in her throat. "What do you mean?" She questions me.
"Ra-im invited me to go out to eat with her. She's still living under our roof, you know? I can't avoid her for the rest of my life. I know that what she did is awful but I need to at least act like I'm fine. If I don't, she could figure out that you saw her kissing Minu," I answer her first question.
"I guess so..." Su-ae mumbles. "And, I'm out here with Eunhyeok to apologize for asking him to commit to my plan with me... so I'm sorry if you got the wrong idea," she rubs the side of her elbow, avoiding my gaze. I almost didn't believe her but my thoughts were interrupted when I heard an employee call for me.
"Order for Y/N? Ready at the counter!" The employee smiled at me as he left the food on the counter.
I look at Su-ae once more and walk over to the counter to retrieve my order. Ra-im stands up and I notice Eunhyeok staring down at the table, a look I can't read plastered onto his face. She smiles and waves bye at him, to which he doesn't respond. She ignores it and comes over to me, though I notice her clenched fist shaking.
She hooks her arm around mine and drags me out of the café, turning her head to look back at something when we walk out the door.
"Eunhyeok started to wear jewelry, did you notice that? He was wearing a ring but wouldn't tell me when he got it," Ra-im tells me and continues to pull me along with her.
"No, I didn't notice," I lie, slowly sliding my hands into the pockets of my jacket.
Of course I noticed him wearing the ring that we bought together. I thought it was some silly little thing that he would just put away as soon as he got home that day...
