"So... Now what do we do?" I ask him, as we're still leaning against my closet door. "Oh wait, you probably can't leave this room, because Ra-im and her friends are still outside. I guess we could just stay in my room or something," I suggest, pondering about the things that we could do.

"Oh, do you want to watch a movie?" I say but I already start walking over to my desk to retrieve my laptop.

"Sure, which movie? I don't mind what we watch, so you can pick," he says and I walk over to lay down over the covers of my bed as I place the laptop on my lap.

"Okay. Come here," I tell him and he sits down next to me, then shifting into a more relaxed position.

I open up a movie on my laptop and place it in the middle of us.

As the movie played, we'd laugh and make comments about funny scenes together. I didn't know how much I missed being like this until all of it was fixed.

The movie finished after an hour or so, and it was nearing midnight. We were lying down next to each other on top of my bed, and I had a small lamp turned on for light, but other than that, my room was dark.

We talked about random things for some time, but since then we've been lying in silence. No one moved or said anything, to the point where I had thought he had fallen asleep. I slowly sat up, in case that he really did fall asleep, and hover my face over his to check if he was sleeping.

His eyes opened abruptly and I jerked my head up, not wanting to look weird for staring so intensely at his face.

"Were you asleep?" I asked him as I slid off of my bed.

"No, just thinking," he whispered as he warily sat up. "I'm not tired, though. Are you?"

"Nope," I reply.

I pull my chair out from my desk and sit in it, thinking of another thing that we could do. That's when I spotted a bag under my bed that I'd forgotten I had put there yesterday.

"Wait... close your eyes and stay there," I order him and he lays back down, closing his eyes.

"Okay," he mumbles.

I quietly tiptoe to my door and slowly open it to ensure that it doesn't make much noise. I take note that the living room light is still on and I can still hear Ra-im and her friends, so I shut my door again and walk into the kitchen.

I open the fridge, looking for the cupcake I had bought for his birthday from the mall yesterday.

"Where is it..." I whisper out loud, rummaging things around on the shelves. I spot it at the back of the fridge and pull it out, grabbing a small plate from the cabinet and plating it there.

I open up a drawer next to the oven and look through it, searching for a birthday candle. My parents always have some candles, for some reason. I've never questioned it, because hey. They could be useful to have, especially for moments like this.

I find a small white candle and rip the packaging open, sticking it in the cupcake and pulling a match out of another drawer. I decide to light the candle here so I don't have to bring the entire match box, and I walk back to my room, entering and then closing the door.

"Eunhyeok?" I whisper.

"Yeah?"

"You can open your eyes now!" I try to suppress the huge smile threatening to form on my face. His eyes widened.

"It's midnight now, right? Happy birthday!" I exclaim, offering him a big smile.

"Thank you, but how did you know—"
