Eunhyeok, Su-ae, and I have been walking around for some time now.

The sun had set, and now we were leaning against some random fence, looking around the park and just talking. Su-ae is standing in the middle and I just listen to them talk.

I've been growing colder and colder as the sky gets darker. I really wish that I was at home right now, in the comfort and warmth of my bed.

I look up as a new presence appears in front of the three of us, only to find that it's Minu. His eyes give off an icy cold glare, directed towards Su-ae and Eunhyeok.

"Su-ae, you said you wanted to go on the Ferris wheel with me, right? Let's go," Minu says hurriedly and snatches Su-ae's hand, dragging her along with him.

"Huh, now?" She asks him, but I can barely hear her as I lose sight of them in the overwhelmingly large crowd. You'd think that there would be less people here at night, but no.

I only stare at Eunhyeok, watching him to see if he'll follow her or stay. He turns to me and smiles a little.

"Do you... want to go sit at a bench?" he asks, staring into the distance.

"Sure," I followed him to an empty bench nearby, taking a seat. I notice him visibly putting some distance between us. I blink at him and he positions himself to face me.

"So... uh, what's going on? Are you okay?" I awkwardly cough out.

"Can we talk? It's nothing serious. Well, it kind of is," he speaks and looks at the floor.

"What is it? You can tell me," I assure him that he'll continue.

"I've been... confused about stuff," he pauses. I wait for him to go on and watch as he fidgets with the ring on his finger. I smile at it but stop once he continues talking.

"Lately, I've been feeling... different around Su-ae. I want to be around her, and she makes me happy. But what I feel when I'm around you, it's not the same..." He trails off and my heart gets caught in my throat.

"What are you trying to say?" I frown and he doesn't answer me. Instead, he awkwardly clears his throat.

"Uhm, never mind... Maybe it's not the right time," he says and gets up. "I guess I should go find Su-ae now. Oh, and here's your scarf back," Eunhyeok unwraps the scarf from around his neck and hands it to me. Something inside me cracks as he walks off, leaving me alone in the cold night.

What did he mean by that? That he favors Su-ae more? That he's uncomfortable around me, as I thought?

The endless negative possibilities appear in my mind.

I don't even feel my eyelids getting heavier as I'm lulled into a deep sleep, on a random bench in the middle of a busy amusement park.

I'm awoken by none other than Minu. I rub my eyes and sit up properly, looking around for a clock to see how long I've been sleeping.

"Are you really asleep or just closing your eyes?" Minu asks and I can hear annoyance laced in his every word. He sat down next to me and stared at the people that walked by.

"Why are you here? And who made you so mad?" I yawn and stretch my arms.

"I only came because I thought that you would know where Eunhyeok and Su-ae are," Minu cuts to the point and I observe as he shoves his hands roughly into his coat pocket.

"Uhm, sorry but I don't know where they are," I throw my head back and stare up at the pitch black sky.

I hear a loud sigh come from Minu. I'm about to say something about how he's being rude for no reason at this point, but a loud commotion interrupts me before I get the chance to say a word.

A crowd is formed at the base of the park's Ferris wheel, people pointing up at it. I look at it, only to find that it is stopped in place. I make my way over to it, only because it's not so far from where I was just sitting. Minu follows after me.

I examine each Ferris wheel capsule, and my eyes catch sight of one at the very top, with two very familiar figures sitting inside of it. Even from all the way down on the ground, I can't miss the silhouette of my sister and Eunhyeok, sitting straight across one another.

I'm struck with confusion until the short and abrupt conversation that I had with Eunhyeok earlier strikes my mind. Is this what he meant? That he wanted to be with Su-ae? But the part I don't understand is where he said, quote unquote, "but what I feel when I'm around you, it's not the same..."

It doesn't make any sense to me, how he can just say something like that and leave without telling me what it means. What are you doing to me, Go Eunhyeok?

At that same moment, a blonde man I've seen far too many times to be considered normal today, makes direct eye contact with me.

He looks bewildered at the sight of me and my red scarf, looking back and forth from the scarf to me and repeats this again, muttering something to himself under his breath.

I ignore him and direct my attention to the ferris wheel again, searching once more for the capsule that Su-ae and Eunhyeok are in.

I stare at them, and instead of sitting across from each other, Su-ae is standing up in front of him now.

"Y/N, do you think they're in there?" Minu asks from next to me. I sigh at his idiocy, giving him a blank stare and walking off.

It's cold, it's dark, and I'm not having fun anymore. I have no clue where my other friends are and I don't even have Su-ae or Eunhyeok to talk to because they're with each other. People shove their way past me as I sulk, my focus never once separating from the ground as I direct myself towards the exit.

Questions swarm my brain. Does Su-ae want to be with Eunhyeok? Does he want to be with her?

I desperately attempt to piece together what little information that I have to get off of what Eunhyeok said.

No. Su-ae would never do something like that to me, would she? But Eunhyeok can do whatever he wants. He can like whoever he wants.

I take my phone out of my pocket, checking the time. I clutch it tightly in my hand, also noticing the lock screen that says, 'no new notifications' on it.

I stop walking when I reach a bus stop that'll take me back home, away from everything here. The bus ride is silent with the exception of an elderly couple that is bickering to each other in the front. I chose a seat in the back corner. I lean my head against the window, watching as the moon "follows" the bus around.

When I reach my stop, I groggily stand up and thank the bus driver. He sends me a kind smile, wishing me a good night, and I do the same.

I take the elevator up and put in the pin at the front door. I silently take my shoes off and get unready, practically throwing myself into bed as soon as I'm finished.

I plug my phone in on my nightstand and I'm about to doze off when I hear loud 'ping!'. It pulls me out of my haze and I slowly reach my arm over to my nightstand and raise the phone above my face so that I can read the screen.

I quickly type back so that I can go to sleep and the school buses aren't waiting on me to leave. With that, I shut off my phone, plugging it back in, ignoring the next 'pings!' from my phone.

Finally, I lay on my bed and stare at the ceiling, slowly falling asleep.
