There's been a ton of rumors going around at school lately. One of them is about the new boy group debuting at Marang Entertainment. Somehow, Dohwa is tied into that rumor. Apparently people think he's debuting as one of the members.
"Y/N, this is ridiculous. How could they think that I'd be debuting? I don't even sing." Dohwa complains as he rests his head on one of his hands. We're on break right now and I came to see him at his class.
I laugh and joke, "Maybe that's because you barely come to school. I could see how something like that would spread," he sighs and side-eyes me, faking annoyance. I only smile at him and try to make his situation better.
"There's also a rumor that Minu got dumped by Su-ae. It's kind of funny how fast things spread." I say and pull out a box of Hello Panda cookies from my bag. I open it and leave it in the middle of the two desks that we're sitting at so that Dohwa can have some too.
"Oh, really? As in your sister, Su-ae? I saw her yesterday at karaoke. She was staring so hard at me that I thought that she was going to burn a hole into my face." Dohwa says exasperatedly.
"Wait- you saw her at karaoke yesterday? When? After everyone left?" I ask. Did she not leave after Eunhyeok and I said bye?
"Yeah, it was raining so I guess she was waiting for it to let up. Anyways, can we talk about something else? This is making me fall asleep," Dohwa says using a bored tone of voice.
"Okay, like what?" I sit there trying to think of topics while he sits up and straightens his back.
"How about how you've been becoming friends with that guy, Eunhyeok?" Dohwa mentions after reaching for a couple of Hello Pandas and throwing them into his mouth.
"Oh. We're friends, I guess. I don't know, I mean we said that we thought of each other as friends already but he always seems to be at the places Ra-im invites us to so that's one of the reasons on how we got to know each other. They're probably closer to each other than him and I are. Why?" I glance up at the clock on the wall to see that the break is only five more minutes.
"Oh, I don't know. I just see you guys hanging out more is all," he shrugs and takes another piece of the snack between us.
"Okay. Well, we only have five more minutes left, can you walk me to my class?" I ask because I don't feel like walking there alone. He nods, getting up and following me out of the room. We walked to another building on campus where my classroom is located. I don't get why they're so spaced out, but it didn't bug me. When we arrive, Dohwa and I peer into the classroom to see who is in there, and it's only Eunhyeok, sitting there at his desk.
Dohwa raises an eyebrow at me and I jokingly make the same face. "Bye, Dohwa. Thanks," I wave him off and he smiles and waves back, turning back to his classroom.
I walk in and take a seat at my desk. Eunhyeok is working on some sort of classwork and I turn around to watch him. He notices me staring and looks up from his work.
"Why are you staring?" He asks as he looks at me, waiting for an answer.
"I don't know... I'm just thinking." I responded and sighed, putting my arms on his desk.
"Okay." He hums and continues, turning his attention back to the sheet of paper in front of him and writing.
"So, you know how I kind of asked you to help me help Su-ae with Minu?" I ask, hoping he'll remember.
He pauses again and looks up at me. "Yeah. What about it?"
"Well, I was thinking that today, at lunch, you could sit with her and ask her to the movies. I mean, Minu will definitely be there to see." I suggest. "Also, I can't think of any other opportunity to start my plan so that'll have to work. Su-ae quite obviously isn't over Minu yet, and I can tell she wants help. I heard her mumbling to herself about something she wanted to do about it... Anyways, I only want to help her because she's my sister."
"Sure. We can go along with your plan." He agrees. Wow, that was easy. I didn't expect him to not give it a second thought.
"Yay! Thanks." I smile and he nods. For a minute it goes silent and I turn around to unpack my things from my bag onto my desk.
"Can I also invite you?" He asks and catches me off guard. I turn back around to face him and see him looking at me.
"Well, I mean, I don't sit with Su-ae at lunch, I sit with my other friends. But yeah, I'll go with you guys. When do you think you'll go? After school?" I inquire.
"I don't know. I'll text you." He doesn't confirm the time but reassures me he'll text later. People start to come into the classroom and our conversation comes to a closure as the instructor walks in towards the front of the room by the board.

I'm in the cafeteria with my usual lunch group. The room is swirling with the rumor of Su-ae dumping Minu. People all over the room gossip and whisper.
"Su-ae and Eunhyeok seem close now."
"Do you think she had an affair with him?"
The room goes silent, shockingly, and everyone is staring at one thing. Su-ae. She entered the room with a tray in her hand and an uneasy look on her face due to everyone staring at her. She goes over to sit with her friends and everything returns back to normal until Eunhyeok enters as well. He grabs a tray of food and makes his way over to Su-ae. I watch them as Eunhyeok places a strawberry milk on Su-ae's tray for good effect. Ajin shouts, "Is there actually something going on between you two?"
The cafeteria noise gets louder as Ajin just added fuel to the fire. I glance over at Minu and he turns away from Su-ae with a jealous and angry look on his face. Eunhyeok looks over to me and gives me a light, almost unnoticeable, nod. Then he says, "Do you want to go see a movie today?" to Su-ae. I watched, amused at the scene.
Su-ae looks shocked. Oh my gosh, I forgot to tell her about this part of the plan first. Hopefully she won't be bothered later.
Su-ae mutters something I can't hear and Eunhyeok repeats himself, making the room get louder by the second. "I said, do you want to go see a movie with me?" Eunhyeok repeats, his tone calm and not at all nervous about what's happening around him.
"Haha, if you say it like this, people might get the wrong idea you know..." Su-ae says loudly to debunk any forming rumors.
Out of nowhere, Minu yells, "Screw this!" He pushes his chair out from under him and stands up angrily. He picks up his tray and leaves the cafeteria. I smile to myself, knowing that my plan worked. Only then do I see Eunhyeok trying to hide a smile as well.

When class is over I get up and tell Su-ae to meet me in the hallway when she's done gathering her things. I wait for her outside of the door and she comes up to me.
"Hey, Y/N, what is it?" Su-ae asks. "Also, did you see what happened in the cafeteria? I saw you there. Eunhyeok asked me to the movies in front of everyone! I don't understand why he would do that, I mean like, it helped with Minu getting jealous and all that but I still don't get why he did it."
"That was actually what I wanted to talk to you about. Eunhyeok and I planned to have that happen. I only realized that we hadn't told you that while doing it. I guess it slipped my mind during class to tell you before lunch happened. I'm sorry!" I say with a little bit of a guilty face and wait for Su-ae to answer.
"Oh, that was you? I was wondering why he did that. That makes more sense. Anyways, I'm glad that Minu got angry. To be honest, it was kind of funny; even though the gossip is raging even more now." Su-ae giggles.
"Good, I'm glad you're not mad. Sorry about not telling you the plan first. I did tell you to leave everything up to me though, didn't I?" I say, playfully winking. Su-ae laughs at this and nods her head. We walk back to the classroom to pack up our stuff and leave.
