I fix the ends of the dress, it's Christmas Eve and I've been struggling to decide on what outfit to wear. I look in the mirror noticing the top reveals a little bit of cleavage, it's a cute wine-red color off-the-shoulder long sleeve and a black mid-thigh pencil skirt. The outfit seemed to be hugging my curves, I bite my bottom lip as I grabbed the black red bottom heels from the closet along with a black long coat.
I take one last look in the mirror making sure my makeup is okay, I step out of my room. I set my coat and heels by the door, I hear the door of Eunseo's old room open. Right, Wonwoo had stayed the night, I let out a small sigh escape my lips as I entered the kitchen and finished preparing the four-course dessert I was left in charge of. Soonyoung bragged about the brownies I had baked him to everyone last night at the BBQ Mingyu had taken us to, Seungkwan decided that I should be left in charge of desserts. I stayed up till one-thirty in the morning baking the strawberry brownies, the banana creme pudding, and fruit jello cake.
I pulled the plastic containers from the pantry making sure they were the right size, "Did you sleep well?" Wonwoo's hoarse voice made my skin have goosebumps. I smile faintly and turn to look at him, "Yeah, although I'm worried that the desserts probably did come out great. I mean I was almost rushing everything last night." I say feeling worried that everything will taste bland. Wonwoo smiles, "I'm sure they came out okay, everyone has faith in you. Soonyoung did brag about it." He says. I sigh and pack the brownies and jello cake, "He did...and it just worries. Soonyoung is the only person who's tasted my baking," I said stacking the containers together.
"How's your arm?" I switched topics before Wonwoo could get the chance to give an encouraging speech. I look at him, he's wearing a black collar dress shirt with dark red slacks and a matching blazer. The blazer hugged his board-wide shoulders making him look more intimating than he already was, "It's getting better." He says. He wasn't wearing the sling, I smile faintly as I grab the black bag from the pantry and place the containers inside the bag. I look at the clock six-forty, the sun will be setting soon.
"Seungkwan wants us to be at Seokmin's place before eight-thirty," I say, Wonwoo fixes the sleeves of his blazer. I bite my bottom lip and grab the bag, "I'll carry that for you." He says taking the bag from my grip. "But your ar-" his eyes were stern, "My arm is fine Lizzy, don't worry," Wonwoo says. I nodded and walked over to the door slipping into the heels, I grabbed my book bag, my coat, and Wonwoo's coat.
I step out of the apartment and wait for Wonwoo, I slip into my coat. Wonwoo hands me the apartment key after locking it, he adjusts his glasses. He walks to the door leading to the parking garage, and I follow behind Wonwoo. "Why are we in the parking garage?" I ask but I collide with his back, "I'm sorry," I said. I look at him as he pulls keys out of his pocket, the sound of a car alarm pulls my attention from him. I look where the sound came from, and I bite my bottom. "Y...you own a car? I thought you didn't own a car?" I ask, Wonwoo smiles. "I didn't own a car." He says, I gasp and look at him.
"You bought a car? Not just any car, but you bought a nineteen-sixth seven impala?" I asked, Wonwoo chuckled as he opened the passenger door. "Come on we need to get there in time otherwise Seungkwan will be on our asses." He says, I smile and walk over to him. "What made you buy this car?" I asked getting inside, he placed the black bag in the back seat. Wonwoo closes the door, he eyes me before walking over to the driver's side. I bite my bottom lip and admire the interior, black leather seats, and the doors and the dashboard are beige.
The only Impala I have ever seen was on Supernatural, but being this up close to one made the excitement in me rise. I look at Wonwoo as he starts the car, "No but seriously what made you buy this Impala?." I asked. My heart pounds against my ribcage as Doris Day plays softly through the stereo, "Because I know if I had bought a car that wasn't a classic you wouldn't be impressed." He says with a smirk as he drives; I blush as I sit back and look out the window.
