I feel exhausted, the crack of dawn was a nightmare. I must've been hallucinating if Wonwoo was the only one who didn't hear anything then it must've been a Hallucination.
A sigh escapes my lips as I let my knee bounce out of anxiety, Wonwoo thought it was best to play it safe by taking a trip to the doctor's office. I shift uncomfortable in the chair, Wonwoo seemed to have notice my anxiousness. "Do have plans for the rest of the day?" He asked, I look at him. "Mingyu has me on lock down till this is over so I don't have anything plan." I said, my tone was soft and sad. Mingyu was indeed more than just my boss, he was a friend who had proved himself to care for my safety.
"You know..." I said breaking the silence, I turned to look at Wonwoo. "You haven't really told me much about yourself..." I said Wonwoo looked at me with a perplexed gaze. "You're still somewhat a stranger. And it's idiotic yet strange for me to let you stay at my place." I joke Wonwoo's eyes search into mine before he laughs lightly. "I guess I am." He says crossing his arms, I bite my bottom lip and hug myself.
"Do you have any siblings?" I asked feeling my chest ache, I could feel Wonwoo's sharp gaze on me. "I have a little brother, he was eight when I last saw him. When I was twelve I left my parent's house to live with my aunt for a while just until high school graduation." I said, some of my words were lies, and some were truths. I looked at Wonwoo with a small smile, "He just turned eighteen a couple days ago," I said feeling sad that I was not there for my brother's growth. Wonwoo gives me a tight smile, "I also have a little brother," He says. I let out a small gasp, "Daebak, then you're the oldest?! Wow, wait how old are you?" I asked.
Wonwoo laughs as he leans against the wall, "Twenty-nine, my brother is twenty-two" He says. I bite my lip, "So you're both older than me," I said. Wonwoo looks at me confused, "I'm turning Twenty-one on the fourteenth of February." I said. He tilts his head lightly, "You're twenty?" He asked after a short pause. I laugh lightly, "Yep, most people say I look eighteen or nineteen. But I'm twenty." I said. Wonwoo smiles faintly, the door opens. "Ms. Perez, Dr. Hong will see you now." The nurse says, I look at Wonwoo and get up from the chair. "Don't worry I'll be waiting." He says, I give him a small smile before following the nurse to the office.
A small sigh escapes my lips as I see Dr. Hong, oh wow he looks young. His aura just radiates with elegance and mannerism, "Hi, I'm Doctor Joshua Hong, Detective Yoon mentioned me about the case." His voice is so elegant, almost as if he was royalty. I give him a shy smile, "Hi, I'm Lizbeth which I'm sure you already know. Um yes, the case..." I said taking a seat. Dr. Hong smiles faintly, "So you're here for a physical evolution." He says looking at the computer screen.
"I'm going to be honest, Wonwoo set up the appointment. I don't know exactly why I'm here besides that he's worried about my mental state and physical health." I said, Dr. Hong looked amused. "He's worried about your health?" He mutters and clears his throat, "Well it seems like he wants you to have a physical evolution along with a mental health checkup with one of our psychologists." He says. I bite my lip and look down at my lap, a therapist? Am I really spiraling into my old habits?
"Ms. Perez, are you alright with today's appointment?" Dr. Hong asks, I look at him. "I'm sorry yes, I'm okay to go through the appointment," I said, he smiles faintly. "Then let's get you checked in." He says getting up from the couch, I follow behind him.
Wonwoo stands up as he sees us, "Wonwoo what a surprise." Dr. Hong says. Wonwoo gives him a small smile, "I'm going to get Lizbeth checked into one of the empty rooms and then we'll start from there." Dr. Hong says as he gestures to me to follow him. I look at Wonwoo, and he follows behind. "If you don't mind me asking how did you meet Wonwoo?" Dr. Hong asked, I looked at him as we took a turn left.
"Um I met him at a brunch with Seungkwan and Mingyu," I said, we came to a stop. "Nurse Elise will be coming in shortly to get you ready for a CT Scan and then have some blood work done but before that let's get your height and weight." Dr. Hong says, he points to the scale. I bite my lip and place my bag on the chair, I exhale softly before stepping on the scale.
