Soonyoung invited me to join him and the others for the New Year's party at his place which was a relief for me, a place I'm familiar with. I had decided on the silk dark red dress Lucia had bought for me as a Christmas present, I won't complain since it is a gorgeous dress only that it hugs my curves and it's  off the shoulder. I grabbed a pair of black red bottom heels Eunseo gave me for my nineteenth birthday, I went light on makeup and put my curls into a festive hair clip. I turn to see mama and her kittens fast asleep on my bed, I smile.

A sigh escapes my lips as I finish applying lipglosses and grab the fragrance bottle spraying on the necessary areas of my body, satisfied I grab my bag and phone. I opened it to see that Wonwoo hadn't replied, I had texted him that Soonyoung was having a new Years party and hope to see him there but he hadn't even read it. I frowned and walked out of the bedroom.

I lock the apartment door and head to the elevators, Seungkwan is already over at Soonyoung. I'll just have to call a cab, I enter the elevator. I bite my lip as I adjust the leather jacket and lean against the railing waiting to reach the lobby, parties were never my thing but Soonyoung wants me to join them to celebrate New Year's with him for the first time.

I step off the elevator, "Ms. Perez a package was left for you this afternoon." The front desk receptionist says as she hands me a black rectangular box, I furrowed my brows. "Did they leave a name?" I asked, she shook her head. I remove the gold bow, "Oh wow," The receptionist says as fresh red and pink tulips lay neatly. "You have a secret admirer, there's no name besides this." She says handing me the white index card.

I apologize for my absence,

I bite my bottom lip and look at the receptionist, "Thank you," I said taking the box and heading back to the elevator. I can't leave them in the lobby when they're the most beautiful shade of red and pink. I step inside and head back up to the apartment. Did he send them?

The elevator stops on the fourth floor, I freeze seeing Wonwoo leaning against the door with crossed arms. My heart leaps in joy as I bite my lip preventing myself from showing any sort of excitement, I step off the elevator and walk over to him. His eyes never leave me, I feel small as I stand in front of him. "D...did you send these?" I asked as I eyed the red and pink tulips, "Do you not like them?" He asked. My eyes snap back at him, "That's not—Wonwoo I love them," I said. Wonwoo furrow his brows, "But?" He asks. I unlock the apartment door and step inside, "It's an unexpected gift." I said. I pull a vase from the cupboard, filling it with the right amount of water.

I removed the tulips from the paper wrap, and fix them inside the vase. "Unexpected?" He asks, I set the vase on the counter by the fruit basket and turn to look at Wonwoo. "You didn't text, you didn't call for four days and you send me flowers out of the blue," I said crossing my arms.

Wonwoo bites his bottom lip and leans against the counter, "I had to take care of family business," He says. I nodded, "Okay but I'm not asking for a reason for your absences because I understand that you're probably having problems but I needed to know if you were okay, I needed to know if you were eating well, getting enough sleep. I was worried." I said walking over to him. In the short time I spent with him, I've come to know that he lives alone and never has time to properly eat or sleep because of his occupation.

Wonwoo stands tall as I stand in front of him, "I...I'm sorry for making you worry but I'm fine, I had to take care of something." He says as he pushes a loose curl behind my ear. "That's okay, just make sure to respond after the third text. That's when I'm worried," I said with a small smile, and he chuckles. "alasseo" He said, I looked at my phone to see Soongoung had sent a text asking if I was on my way.

"Soonyoung is waiting," I said, Wonwoo sighs. "Right, the party." He says. I look at him as he pulls out the keys from his jacket. "Let's go before he sends a search party for you," Wonwoo says as he walks to the front door, I grab my bag and wall out the apartment locking the door my way out.
