I look at the time on my phone feeling more anxious by the minute, I look around the crowded hall for Minghao. I bite my bottom lip, as I spot Minghao conversing with a group of men in suits. I cross my arms loosely and walk around the halls, paintings are plastered all over the place.

"Champagne miss?" A waitress asks with a smile, I return the smile and grab a glass. "Thank you," I said as she walked off, I took a small sip. The champagne is sweet yet bitter, I look at one of the paintings. The era of lovers, I bite my bottom lip seeing how delicate the man's touch on the woman's bare skin rested. The painting makes me feel overwhelmed and emotional as I read the description of the painting, The Era of Lovers...two lovers are kept away from each other by the misery of obsession. Lovers that go far and beyond to be within each other's reach and warmth, lovers that love one another like no other God has ever seen. Two lovers who in the end received the blessings of the Goddess Divine...Aphrodite.

I exhale softly and sip on the champagne, soft laughter erupts beside me. "I heard Dr. J was supposed to attend this event," A woman says with a smile, I look at the other paintings. "Dr. J? As in Dr. Jeon? I mean I'm not surprised, he is the best neurosurgeon in the medical field. Haven't you heard?" A another woman says, I try my best not to gaze at them. I keep my eyes on the painting, "Dr. Jeon was the one who performed the surgery, Mayor Baek's daughter. It's also no surprise that he was invited personally." The woman continues.

I gulp lightly and finish the champagne, I turn around to see Minghao walking past the crowd greeting them here and there. "Do you think the Mayor invited Dr. Jeon with the idea of getting him to know his daughter?" The other woman asks. I feel myself become bitter, "There you are," Minghao says with a smile. I forced one back, "What's wrong?" He asks. Through the corner of my eyes, the two women glanced at us before leaving. "You didn't tell me..." I pause and exhale sharply, Minghao furrows his brows and tilts his head lightly. "You didn't tell me Wonwoo was invited personally by the Mayor," I said, Minghao chuckled softly. "Wonwoo? Ah Dr. Jeon the neurosurgeon, his brother. Lizzy, you getting cold feet on me?" He taunts playfully.

I feel a rush of embarrassment, "His brother?" I ask crossing my arms. Minghao smiles and nods, "Dr. Jeon Bohyuk, a neurosurgeon at Seoul's Hospital who may I say recently just opened his hospital." Minghao explains. I could feel the faint heat of embarrassment reach my cheeks, "I assumed those two were speaking of Wonwoo," I muttered. I bite the inside of my cheek, Minghao laughs lightly and pats my head. "Aigo, Wonwoo is a surgeon but he doesn't involve himself with his brother's success," Minghao reassures. I smile faintly, "Now," He says holding out his hand. "Will it be too much trouble to have one dance for the night?" He asks, I smile and grab his hand. "It is indeed no trouble at all." I play along, and he smiles.

I set the glass on the silver tray sitting by the painting. Minghao leads me to the dance floor, where many slow dance to soft jazz music. Minghao rests his hand on my waist, the other holds my hand gently. I place my hand on his shoulder, a slower soft jazz song begins to play. The band was playing My One and Only Love by John Coltrane, I let Minghao lead. I let my eyes wander around the crystal chandeliers and glass windows that show a glimpse of the night sky.

"What's on your mind?" Minghao asks, I let my gaze fall on him. "Come on, I've been keeping my eye on this whole night. Your mind is consumed by something troubling you." He says, bringing my hand close to his chest as we dance with a smooth sway. I bite my bottom lip and exhale softly, "I'm just worried that is all." I said. Minghao gives me a light twirl before pulling me closer to him, "Worried? About what angel?" He asks. I looked at him, "Everything," I said. My grip on his shoulder tightens a bit, "I thought I told you to let your mind be at ease for the night." He teases. I smile and let a small laugh escape my lips, "And yet my mind can't seem to be at ease." I said.
