"Calm Provokes Chaos"

STELLAN

Eris surprisingly agreed ngunit hindi dahil sa sitwasyon kundi dahil plano na rin daw niyang umuwi at wala na siyang gagawin. Inaantay niya lang daw talaga akong magising.

Nasa biyahe na kami. I have been tapping my fingers on the steering wheel dahil hindi ako mapakali. Kahit ang aking paa ay ganoon ang ginagawa. This is messed up. Sherry is too far from me!

"They won't let anything happen to Sheridan, Stellan."

Hindi ako makaimik. I do want to be convinced but my worry is overpowering everything. I want to trust those people in taking care of Sherry. I really do but...

Agad kong pinatakbo ang kotse nang mag green light. If only I can teleport myself from where Sherry is, I would gladly do so. But I do not have that kind of power. The only thing I can do is suffer for almost an hour or more than that depende sa traffic.

Rush hour pa naman! Uwian na ng mga tao. Mas traffic kesa kaninang umaga!

I would never ever forgive myself if something bad happens to her and I was not there to protect her. I promised her and myself that I am going to protect her with my life. Because she is the last person that I have and I...I cannot afford to lose her too.

Bakit ba walang nasagot sa mga tawag namin? Even Eris is trying to contact the mansion which she never did before. She is also doing it para humupa kahit papaano ang aking kaba.

Ang dami ng napasok sa aking isipan. The kind of thoughts I never expected I would ever think. Because of fear. That fear is corrupting my thoughts. Forcing me to think of the unthinkable.

Higit isang oras bago kami nakarating sa mansyon. There are lots of people in here at huli ko na lamang na napagtanto na sila ay mga pulis. There are like 3 police cars here. All of their lights are on kaya nakakasilaw sa mata lalo na at lubog na ang araw. Had to squint my eyes o kaya ay isanggi ng aking mga kamay ang ilaw dahil sa silaw.

Eris and I went out. There is a large coat hanging on her shoulders. I can see the confusion in her eyes as well.

What is happening here? Bakit ang daming mga pulis?

"Fernanda!"Since I arrived at the mansion, this is my first time hearing Eris calling her maids. Laging may nagpapatawag para sa kaniya katulad ko. She never calls them directly.

Fernanda instantly knew where to find us. "Lady Eris!"

Hindi agad siya nakalapit sa amin dahil may isang officer ang nagharang sa kaniya. But when she pointed us at nakilala kami ay hinayaan na niya itong makalapit sa amin.

"Fernanda, what happened?" I asked. Eris left my side, naglakad pasulong sa mansyon.

"N—nahuli..." She bit her lower lip, hindi siya mapakali at maiiyak. Hindi alam kung paano magsasalita at sagutin nang maayos ang aking tanong. "Na—nahuli na ho ang pumatay sa mga magulang ni Eris!"

Laglag ang aking panga. Nahuli? My eyes flicked up, looking at the officers here. So the reason they are here is because of that?

Ngunit bakit dito?

I found myself walking to where Eris is. Ni wala akong nasabi kay Fernanda dahil sa labis na gulat. This is not what I am expecting at all. Nahuli na? Who did it? Will Eris be finally found not guilty? So she is indeed innocent?

But why are they here? Anong purpose ng kanilang pagpunta rito kung nahuli naman na ang pumatay—

I stopped walking when I found someone familiar. He is wearing handcuffs habang hawak hawak ng dalawang officer sa magkabila niyang braso. Matilda is the one who's talking to them, looking stressed with her tired and disappointed eyes.
