"What do you mean?" Harry asks, concern lacing his voice as tears start to fill her eyes again.

"Like, I've been feeling like this since the day of my nightmare, when you went on in the shop I started to feel really paranoid that I was being watched but it felt a lot more threatening or something than usual," She explains.

Harry remembers the disgusting scent he'd puck up in the shop when he got a substantial distance away from Y/N.

"It went away at work too, though I could still feel it a little and when Mitch left to go on his break it came at me full force and I had to force myself to ignore it." She says making Harry furrow his eyebrows.

"Can you feel it at all now?" He asks, "No, it's like when you're here it disappears," She says, "That's why I went to your room, by the way, I know it's weird but it felt safest in there," She adds shyly, "I get it, it's not weird," He shrugs.

"What does it feel like?" He asks, "Well it's pretty terrifying, in my dream it had me pinned against the bed and it was screaming 'He's gone' at me which I still don't know what it means," She says.

"It feels like it wants to hurt me or something," She says shakily, "What happened your arm though?" He adds.

"Uhm, I had another dream and it was grabbing my arms and just screeching some noise," She says, a few tears falling from her eyes as she explains it.

"And then I woke up and my arms were all bruised from where it was grabbing me," She cries, "Y/N when did this happen?" He asks sharply, "Today, or well when I woke up this morning, that's why I invited Niall over," She sniffles, trying to wipe at her eyes.

Harry didn't know what to say or what to do, he had a fair idea of what was following around Y/N, these creatures were spawned by vampires using dark magic, he'd tried it once and his dad almost murdered him for it so he hasn't even thought of it since he was about twenty.

They were used to induce fear on humans, they usually just haunted dreams or brought a dark feeling and a rotten smell when humans were vulnerable, their job was to just scare the crap out of someone for entertainment and was an easy way for a vampire to stalk their prey.

But Harry had no idea who would want to hurt Y/N? Especially no vampire.

"The next time you feel this you need to call me immediately okay?" Harry says and she nods, "Okay," She agrees.

"Are you hungry?" Harry asks, "Yes actually, I think you've pampered me too much I've gotten used to eating every meal," She chuckles through her tears, making Harry smile.

"Well your dreams are being haunted by something and I just spent three days dealing with my father who often times haunts my dreams, so I think we've earned ourselves the right for takeout," Harry says because he really can't be assed to cook.

"I am more than okay with that," She says with a smile, Harry could tell that she was trying to put on a brave face even though she was still upset which caused some kind of aching in his heart.

So he reaches over and brushes away her tears gently with his thumbs, "You're much too pretty to cry, darling," He says softly, locking eyes with her, the two stay like that for a moment, getting lost in each other before Y/N shies away from his gaze and Harry clears his throat, pulling his hands back.

"I'll just go get my shoes," Y/N smiles, getting up and going off to get her shoes.

Harry doesn't know what's wrong with him.

...

The following weeks pass by in a blur, Y/N and Harry find themselves getting more comfortable with each other as weather worsens, Y/N still feels the feeling and has terrifying dreams on occasion but mostly she feels safe, especially when she's close to Harry. Which is a lot of the time.
