Also! Happy birthday medicinerry I love you so much!! Thank you for always being so supportive and I hope your day is full of love and joy because you deserve it so much <33

Y/N had lost track of time. Which was a sure-fire way to get Harry upset, something she really wasn't trying to do. This time at least.

Being the Luna to an over-possessive moody alpha came with a lot of baggage, Harry knew how to make enemies - he's been doing it ever since they were pups and made enemies of basically anyone Y/N looked at because she was his mate.

However, having enemies meant having threats which also meant having a grumpy mate that was already the most over-protective person she knows. That increased a hundred times when threats were being made.

Y/N and Harry were equals. That was known to everyone. Harry may be over-protective but he didn't see Y/N as below him and he would never treat her like that, and Y/N would never let him despite it being so common for wolves.

But there were times that Harry would request a few things from her, only if it were absolutely necessary and her life could be in danger, he never made those decisions lightly. This was one of those times.

An enemy pack was after Harry because of a decade old feud, they were never much of a threat up until now and the pack was trying to find the best way to deal with them.

So for the time-being, Harry asked if she could be home before dark, just so he could minimize the possibility of her being targeted and also for his own sake because he knows he'd be worrying non-stop if she was out late alone when there's people literally trying to hunt her down.

He hated asking her to do things that she probably wouldn't want to do but this was serious and it was more of a need, for her own safety. And Y/N agreed it was a good idea and she would.

He'd tried to get her to take a guard with her whenever she left the house too but that got a firm no. Y/N didn't like the thought of being followed around by someone who felt inferior to her, it just wouldn't be a good time.

But she'd agreed to coming home before dark.

Right now, it was dark and she wasn't home. She'd gone out for a few drinks with her friends, she'd shot Harry a text telling him she was going out because he wasn't home when she was leaving, she just didn't tell him where.

Now she realised that she was out past dark, her phone had died and Harry had no idea where on earth she was.

And she'd taken a cab to the bar because she was going to be drinking and didn't want to come back for the car the next day.

"Harry is going to kill me," She tells her friends as she stands up, "I'll call you a cab alright? At least then you won't be walking," Her friend Amelia tells her but Y/N shakes her head.

"No I've got to go now, he's going to be worried sick," She worries, shoving her stuff in her bag, "Y/N babe, I honestly think you should get a cab, it'll be safer," Her other friend tries but Y/N isn't listening.

"I'll text you when I get home," She tells them, leaving the bar alone and starting the walk.

It was a nice night, there was a little breeze but it was dry and not freezing, the only sound around was the occasional car and the sound of her shoes clicking against the pavement.
