Chapter Six

**Chapter Six**

•Erin's POV•

It was already 3:00pm. That meant that the plane carrying One Direction would be landing any minute. Which also meant that in about 1 1/2 hours, One Direction would be at my house. For a whole month.

I had just finished getting the last of my running around done before they were going to be here. But my nerves were still causing my stomach to do flips. What if they don't like me? What if they rather spend their time with someone else?

What if I fall for one of them and get hurt?

I shook my head, trying to expel all of those thoughts from my head. They'd love me! And if not, then there's other fish in the sea right?

Just as I had returned to reality, I heard someone buzz in at the gate. As I looked at the monitor, my whole body tensed.

It was a large black SUV.

"H-hello?" I croaked into the speaker.

"Hey Erin! It's Niall! Can you buzz us in?" The Irish accent spoke excitedly through the other end of the microphone.

I forced down the gut-wrenching nervousness and smiled. "Of course!" I exclaimed as I pushed the button, seeing the gates open slowly.

I walked towards the front door, took a deep breath, and smiled as I walked out the front door to greet my five new guests.

•1D POV•

We all looked at the massive property in awe. It was all so beautiful! The fact that we would be staying here for a month was incredible.

"Whoa guys... Niall, you never told us she practically owned a 5 star resort!" Harry blurted out.

"Well! I didn't know what her house looked like okay? I just told her we'd hang out and she offered! So don't screw it up!" Shouted Niall, nervously rubbing his hands on his jeans.

"Niall, if you rub your jeans any faster, they'll catch fire." Stated Louis as Niall's face turned a shade of crimson. We all knew he was nervous, he'd been nervous during the whole ride here. Though, more than anything he was excited. We all were, except for Liam..

Liam and Danielle had just broken up a month or so ago, and he really took it hard... he hasn't been the same sense. Having time off and not spending it with Danielle was unusual for him, so the other guys thought the vacation to Florida would be good for him. He put on an excited face, but we all knew how miserable he felt.

As we pulled up through the U-shaped driveway, a girl walked out of the front door to greet us. When we stepped out of the car to walk towards her, Niall's smile widened immensely.

And so did Liam's.

•Erin's POV•

As they all exited the SUV, the driver walked around me with their suitcases to take them inside, flashing me a pleasant smile as he passed by. At that moment, Niall walked up to me with arms wide open. Now I'll know what a real Hiram hug feels like... I thought to myself as I embraced Niall.

"Hey Erin! It's nice to finally meet you in person! You already know who I am, so I'll let the rest of the boys introduce themselves. But more importantly, do you have any food? I'm starving!" His smooth Irish accent rushed out, still holding me compassionately. It was noticeable that he fancied me, but I couldn't get attached. I wouldn't let myself. But, I giggled at his last statement and pushed him towards the house.

"Yes Niall, I knew you'd ask. There's food in the kitchen! Help yourself!" I shouted to him as he disappeared through the front door.

"Hello love, I'm Harry." I heard as I turned around. His green eyes were almost hypnotic, and his dark curls surrounded his face as he winked and pulled me into a gentle hug, soon walking past me into the house. Well he's a cheeky one! I thought as I smiled.

"He's always like that. Cheeky I mean. I'm Zayn, nice to meet you." The tall quiet boy stated as he gave me a quick side-hug before walking to the house. He seemed much quieter than the rest, and he definitely cherished his hair, but I knew he would open up more over time.

As I turned back around to greet the last two, I felt my feet swiftly leave the ground as I was lifted up into a bone-crushing hug... by none other than Louis Tomlinson.

"LOUIS! PUT ME DOWN!" I shouted at him, patting him on the back repeatedly. I hated being picked up like this, by anyone.

"Sorry, just all the excitement. Niall never shuts up about you, love! I'm Louis by the way, but you already seemed to know!" He exclaimed before running to find Harry.

As I turned around one last time, my eyes locked with a set of chocolate brown eyes. They were so sad yet... a bit of excitement was noticeable. And another emotion that I couldn't quite put my finger on. After a moment of silent staring we broke eye contact and he nervously chuckled, pulling me into a comforting embrace.

"Hey Erin! I'm Liam, which you probably already know. Thank you so much for offering up your house to us for this vacation. It means a lot to the lads."

"What about to you?" I questions curiously. He hesitated, sadness returning to his features before answering. I knew why, it was all over the tabloids... but I wouldn't dare bring it up. For some reason, I felt as if hurting him would hurt myself.

"Well, I've been better... but now I'm convinced this vacation could do me some good. I am also excited to practically stay at a 5 star resort for a month, by the looks of it." He smirked as he walked into the house.

I took a deep breath before turning to go through the front door, grinning ear to ear.

•Liam's POV•

When I saw her standing at the front door, it was as if my heart stopped. She was no supermodel, but she was beautiful. Her smile, her hair, everything. I liked her, for sure. But it was also evident that Niall did also, and I knew I couldn't ruin this for him. When we got out I waited in anticipation to see her face-to-face, trying to hide my excitement so she wouldn't suspect anything. But as soon as Louis went past her to walk towards the front door, our eyes met, and I wondered if she felt exactly what I felt: nervousness, and a fluttering in my stomach that was uncontrollable. Her eyes were ocean blue, and from my angle, they even looked as if they moved and crashed like deep blue waves. As she broke eye contact with me, I moved in for a gentle hug which she immediately returned. Her hugs were a close tie for one of the best hugs I'd ever received, Niall's being up there as well.

It was then that I realized how easy it was for me to forget about Dani around her. As I released her to walk inside, my smile grew wider and I roamed to get a better look at the house with the rest of the boys.
