**Chapter Sixteen**

(I know, it should be about 6-7 days before they leave but in the dream there was a huge lapse of time that was skipped, which is between what is now chapter 15 and 16.)

•Erin's POV•

I couldn't believe that they were leaving TOMORROW. Tomorrow afternoon they would all be leaving me, for a month. I guess I had just grown so attached to them being there it's hard to let them go. It'll be a whole month without doing their laundry on Saturday, without waking up to Liam's arms around my waist and without shopping trips with Louis and Zayn, and the exciting grocery store visits with Niall or the cheeky grin that was always spread across Harry's face.

I just wasn't sure how I was going to cope without them for that long. When I spent one night without Liam I almost died inside. But if I knew one thing, it was this: he would miss me as much as I'd miss him, if not more. In fact, all of them would. We were a family now; a very disfunctional one, but still a family nonetheless.

So, I had made sure that the next 24 hours would be special. No matter what we were doing, atleast two of the boys were attached to me at all times. Even walking through the mall and watching movies in the entertainment suite, their arms were wrapped around me or their fingers were entangled with mine. Though, I could tell by the looks on their faces that they were all as upset as me, except Liam; he was worse. He tried to hide it for me, but he knew no matter what I would notice. I must admit though, out of all the days that I had kissed him, I kissed him most today.

As the night came quicker than I had hoped, we sat around the firepit behind the house and sang songs, even shared memories from the time we were together. But I knew there was something I had to do. As I got up, they all looked at me curiously.

"Where are you going, Erin?" Louis questioned. But I didn't reply, I just smiled at him and ran up the stairs only to come back with one thing: a keyboard from the music room. As I set it up, I glanced at Liam and he knew what I was doing; if I didn't know any better, I would say I saw tears forming in his eyes. However, it was when I began to play that I realized my assumption was true.

"When the rain is blowing in your face,

And the whole world is on your case,

I could offer you a warm embrace,

To make you feel my love.

When the evening shadows and the stars appear,

And there is no one there to dry your tears,

I could hold you for a million years,

To make you feel my love."

The silence aside from me playing the song seemed to almost be a dreaded silence; no one could speak, no one could even sigh. It was a silence one should only experience at a funeral, and sadly, I wasn't the only one to notice.

As I finished my song, Liam looked even worse than he did earlier. His eyes were puffy and red and you could finally see just how fatigued he was; he hadn't been sleeping properly for days. So, I stood up and took the keyboard into the back porch before coming back out and pulled Liam up from his seat, entwining my fingers gently with his.

"Boys, I think it's time we all went to bed. We have a long day ahead of us tomorrow...." I choaked out, holding back the tears that were destined to fall when they were gone. But for now, I had to be strong for Liam. I couldn't bare to see him so upset.

Niall was the first to give me a slight nod before standing up and kissing me on the cheek softly as he walked into the house. Soon enough, all the boys followed; none of them said a word, but if they had I could have guessed exactly what each one would have said. That is how close we've grown over the past few weeks.
