**Chapter Fifteen**

•Liam's POV•

I made sure to wake up before Erin did today so I could borrow her phone while she was still sleeping. If she knew why I needed it, then her surprise would be ruined. So I reached over her body carefully and took her phone off her bedside table. Turning on her screen, I unlocked it and flicked through her contacts quickly. After finding the number I was looking for, I entered it into my own phone and reached over her to put hers back where I got it from. As my body shifted next to her, she shifted her weight before opening her eyes, leaving just enough time for me to nonchalantly cover up my previous actions by sliding my arm around her waist. I was so close to being caught, I thought the surprise was ruined.

"Good morning, beautiful." I whispered in her ear before gently sliding away from her and getting out of the bed. She let out a loud groan before grabbing my hand.

"Liammmm, where are you going? It's Saturday and you have no band activities today. Stay in bed with me!" She pouted. I always gave in to her pleading, especially when she pouts like this. But this time I knew I couldn't. I had to do something for her to show her that she didn't always have to worry about everyone else; she has needs too.

"Sorry love, but I have some arrands to run that I forgot about. Would you mind if I borrowed the SUV? I'll be back as soon as possible, I promise. I just have to go get this done."

"I guess that's fine. I need to get up and do some laundry and make some food anyways. I'm sure Niall will be starving by the time he wakes up anyways." She told me, giggling lightly as I scooped her off the bed and let her down on the floor. Before I left I gave her a kiss and went to get dressed, running out the door shortly after.

As I started the SUV and drove down the driveway, I pulled out my phone and called the number I had taken from Erin's phone this morning.

•Erin's POV•

It had been over an hour since Liam left and I was starting to worry. When I texted him he hadn't replied and I knew he had left without any of the boys so he was by himself. As I flopped down on the big couch in the living room, I closed my eyes and sighed.

"Erin, he's fine. He just had to go pick up some things about an hour out of town. He should be back within the hour and everything will be fine." Harry said, squeezing my hand gently.

I appreciated his comforting gestures; it was always as if he could read my mind no matter what I was feeling. Out of all the boys, I felt the closest to Harry, and Niall occasionally. I mean I was close to Liam, but in a different way; I loved them both differently. In fact, I loved all the boys differently.

"I know Harry, but what if he's in trouble? He hasn't texted me back..." I whispered.

"Well love, with things like this Liam doesn't like to text and drive. Especially with your car." Zayn informed me, who was sitting on the other side of the couch.

Just as I had leaned my head on Harry's shoulder to close my eyes, I heard the gate buzzer go off as a car was slowly pulling up into the driveway. As I went to get up and run out the door, Niall grabbed me.

"Sorry love, but you can't. You have to wait. He's bringing in a surprise for you." He winked at me.

My patience was growing thin as my excitement increased. As soon as the door cracked open, tears formed in my eyes at the sight before me: a little girl that was so recognizable to me that it was impossible to mistake her. And who else would come in behind her other than Liam Payne, holding yet another familiar child: a little boy not much older than two.

"Auntie!" The little girl screamed as she ran into my arms. I scooped her up and twirled her around in my arms. I hadn't been able to see her or her little brother since I left Jessica's house over a month ago.
