It was days after the final battle and the tragic loos of a loved on Netayam te Suli Tsyeyk'itan. It was quiet around the village, there were a couple of people outside but overall it was still a grieving atmosphere. The people grieved with the Sully's all the family wanted was nm protection, from the Sky people. But even that didn't work out, you were sitting in a cove not far way from the village.
Neteyam was your best friend, being two years older than him never bothered you guys. He was happy that he found a friend in you. You were always together rarely without one another. So when it came to leaving the forest, you followed them. Neteyam couldn't leave you behind, you were the only person who really understood his struggles. You never sugarcoated anything and were always direct when it came to him and his behavior.
He was the oldest you understood that, but the pressure his father was putting on him was to much for him to carry alone. He needed to hear that, and he needed someone where he could be vulnerable not the older brother and his siblings constant protector.
As he and Lo'ak were trying to safe spider he got shot. You still had the pictures in you head, and all you could think was, that nobody was able to protect him. You could still hear the way you screamed when he took his last breath. Your best friend was gone, just like that.
You heard foot steps approaching you but, you didn't look. You knew it was spider by the way he was walking. Spider was a very dear friend to you and the other Sully children. You'd be surprised if you knew who his father was.
Colonel Miles Quartich
'Jake said I could find you here' he said trying to grab your attention. Your silence
'He also said that you wanted to be alone, do you want me to go.' You dropped your shoulder shaking your head. He sits next to grabbing your hands leaving caressing them.
All you could do was give him a slight smile. We sat in silence for a while before he started speaking.
'I have to confess something to you' he said trying to control his breathing. He clutched your hands tightly. You raised your eyebrows confused by the sudden change of his behavior. You tried reading his mind feeling a change in the atmosphere.
'When I showed Jake where Tuk and Kiri were being held hostage we separated.' I nodded not following him but gesturing him to continue.
'When the SeaDragon started to sink I tried getting out, and I saw Quartich unconscious body floating around. I ignored him first but something in my stomach stopped me from swimming further.'
'Spider?what are you trying to say?' I stood up ripping my hands of his grasp. I had a feeling of what was coming next. But I wished I didn't,with me still grieving over Neteyam I couldn't handle something else so devastating.
'I saved him'
'No you didn't' I said feeling my heart clenching I knew I could feel so much agony.
'How could you to that, after what happened to Neteyam?' I yelled hitting him. He didn't move knowing that he deserved every hit.
All you could hear was Jakes last words while we were surrounding Neteyam.
'A son for a son'
'He was your friend and treated you like his brother, you kept his murderer alive. For what? Just because your so called father he kept you around doesn't mean that he's the father of the year.'
You saw tears in his eyes, his mask started to fog you were this close to rip his mask of his face.
'I-'
'You barley know him, all he should be to you is his sperm donor Miles.' You shouted interrupting him as well scaring a flock of Tetrapteron's
He knew what he did was wrong and he regrets it, but in the end of the day Quartich is his father.
'I hate you and I hope I'll never ever see you again' you whispered. You looked at him with my tear covered face. You and Spider were always close, being just a baby and not suitable to be put into a cryosleep, made pandora his new home, that's all he has ever known. He was raised by the remaining scientists on pandora but was always hanging out with you and the Sully's. Neytiri never liked him but you knew he was nothing like the other sky people.
But it seems that appearance is deceptive.
You'd have never thought that he could betray your family like that. You weren't Jakes and Neytiri's daughter but they treated you as such. After your parents died midst of the war against the Sky people. They basically adopted you taking care of you and caring for you like a parent would.
'I'm giving you a head start, leave now and don't think I won't tell Neytiri about what you did.' you said pulling your knife out. You pointed it at him before leaving an opposite mark on his already existing one. Blood trickled down his chest all you could hear was him hitching.
'This is not my fight' you mumbled looking towards the rising eclipse. The distance between us was like a tensed thread ripping with each step he took.
'The sad thing is, that Neteyam would've forgiven you.' you said while a crystal like droplet appeared on your face.
