Grabbing her coat, keys, and purse placing her jelly filled toast into her mouth Aris quickly made her way out of the door. Turning around she locked her apartment just as she heard the door close across from her.

"Good morning Aris." Tobias, her neighbor greeted.

"Morning Tobias ."  She said dryly, walking toward the elevator pressing the down button.

"You look nice this morning."

"Thank you." She said, avoiding eye contact with him,  as she took a bite of  her toast.

"Running late again?"

Rolling her eyes she nodded stepping onto the elevator. "Over slept."

"Yeah, it happens to the best of us." He chuckled, leaning beside her pressing the lobby button.

"Ladies first." He smiled, showing his pearly white smile once the elevator doors opened.

"Thanks."Finishing up her toast she balled up the napkin tossing it into the trash bin.

"Well, have a good day at work Aris."

"You too." She said, as they went their separate ways toward their cars.

Hearing her heels click against the concrete ground she made her way toward her all black BMW M3.

Starting the car she quickly peeled out of her apartment parking lot heading toward the downtown area.

Speeding in and out of the morning traffic heading for the highway she sped off looking at the time on the clock again. "Why can't I wake up on time." She sighed.  "I can't loose this job!"

Her mind went back to her mothers words from yesterday, causing her to grip tightly onto her steering wheel. She couldn't believe what her mother had said, but at the same time she could.

She could see where her mother was coming from, from a certain extent but at the same time her parents didn't know everything that she's been through since meeting Marcus and she never planned on telling them either. She never met anyone like him, they connected on a different level than guys she knew in the free world. Their conversations were everything to her he always made her smile or laugh. His voice alone made her weak in the knees.

Pulling up to the building Aris quickly pulled into the first parking spot she saw, which was close toward the door.

Stepping out of the car, she quickly gathered her things speeding her way inside.

Taking a seat behind the receptionist desk she let out a breath satisfied that she had gotten to work just one minute before her clock in time.

"Aris!" Her boss called, looking down at her from the balcony where he stood above her. "My office now!"

Aris felt eyes on her as she made her way slowly up the crystal clear stairs heading toward the upper part of the building.

"Close the door behind you." Mr. Robinson commanded.

Fear controlled her body, as she felt her body temperature began to rise. Taking a seat in the empty chair in front of her bosses desk she gulped looking at him.
