Vol 23: Are you fucking yawning?

Luke didn't plan on worrying about his sister tonight. But, since he got back from tour he hasn't had a reason to worry about her yet- so he forgot the feeling he had when he did worry about her. I know what you're thinking- he got worried the night she got really drunk and went downstairs even when Luke told her not to as all his fuck boy mates were there. Sure, he was concerned- but it was more to get her to not be a problem- and he was kinda drunk anyway when she came down. So that wasn't really a problem in contrast to others.

So when Luke got a call from Angie that Lacey couldn't breathe and her face was turning white- the feelings that Luke had once forgotten, swarmed through the pulse of his veins.

"Pick up you bitch- hello! What are you doing right now?!" Lacey raised her voice with a sing song tone as her phone connected to the other line.

She gave up sitting straight a long time ago, so now she had resorted to laying on the grass next to the fence; the side of her house- were Calum left her.

The sun was well gone and the stars have started to infiltrate the dark soaked sky. Mosquitoes have claimed their territory around the girl, landing on her legs or her arms whenever given the chance. The air was warm, warm enough where there was no jacket needed; but Lacey didn't care. She didn't even think about the fact that she still had Calum's jacket on and his glasses on the top of her head.

"What's going on Lace?" Eli yawned from the other side of the line.

"Are you fucking yawning?" Lacey shrieked enough for the people at the front door to hear.

"Yes. Yes I am." Eli stated with a smug undertone.

"What do you want at this hour?" It was clear Eli was rustling in his sheets; getting ready for bed.

"Come out." Lacey groaned, craning her head up at the sky drizzled by little lights.

"Out where?" Eli was obviously confused on why Lacey called him at like 10:30 at night.

To be honest, Lacey and Eli didn't hang out that often outside of their shifts, disregarding eating at the park together after shifts. But as everyone was smug and not present when trying to explain the outs and abouts of the way of working at the cinema- Eli was the first to help her way around on her first day. And from there- their connection grew stronger. It's started out as sharing their love on hating the little 14 year olds that came in and thought they were cool as shit. Then it progressed to Eli stealing the keys to the back room in which all the cleaning supplies were stored so they could day drink on the job. Seriously, if you knew the type of people that they'd have to face on the daily, you'd take a shot every hour too.

"To mine? Where the hell else?" Lacey grew reckless. Her stomach that was once about to combust with nausea now slightly settled down, enough to ignore.

"I'm literally going to sleep."

"Bro- this party is boring and I'm on the grass next to the park. You need to occupy me right now!" Lacey whined.

"Embrace the stars or something." Eli's voice was hoarse and groggy.

"Get you're ass out of your single bed right now or I'll drag you myself." The girls' patience was thining.

"No. I'm fine where I am."

"Ass."

"I'll see you next week- if you're not hung over." As Eli snickered, Lacey rolled her eyes as she hung up the phone.

What a bore Eli was, she thought. Well he did have work all day and Lacey got out of it because she is articulate and manipulative with her words- drove Eli nuts- so of course lace had more energy than the boy.

"Who ya waiting for Lace?" A high pleasant, came from the right of the girl. The person who's voice it belonged to seemed to just get out of the house.

Lace craned her neck behind her shoulder, still laying down on the grass- looking up to the soup of stars, galaxies and whatnot.

Angie had her blonde hair in a sleek back bun in the midst of her head. Her pink strands were also sleeked back on either side of her head. Her halter top was a shimmery dark purple, paired with black tight mini skirt- complimenting her black heels.

Angie tried to hop and side step the pot holes and unlevelled grass;  the weakness of her thin black stilettos- almost spraining her ankle in the process.

As Lacey moved her head slightly, the stars started to run across her vision. More of the alcohol was catching up to the neurons of her brain. But to Lacey's surprise, she thought she would have been sober by know.

"I'm waiting for my knight in shining armour." Lacey yawned with a slur as she readjusted her vision to the stars.

It didn't even register within Lacy's mind what she just said to her brothers girlfriend.

"Who?" Angie squinted her eyes as she got closer to where the dazed out girl laid.

Lacey's eyes went immediately wide as she followed it with drunk laughter. She wasn't supposed to say that to Angie. That could've gotten her in trouble. She found it almost amusing. Usually though, if she was stone cold sober she would've gone circles and circles in her mind on worrying what Angie would do with what she just said. But as of right now, she couldn't care a damn less.

Angie didn't bother following up the question as she fixed up the back of her bun.

"Watchu doin' here pretty girl?" Angie was now right above Lacey. The part pink haired girls' eyes were dark enough where her pupils were just unnoticeable, but Lacey could still notice her wide little smile with her dimples bursting out of her small pale cheeks.

Angie plopped herself right next to were Lacey situated herself, looking up at the empty road ahead of her.

"Were's your lil boyfriend?" Lacey turned to Angie, in a sing song voice- making sure she stur the pot a little because she knows she can get away with it when she's not in her every day state of mind.

"With his boyfriend." Angie raised her eyebrows as she pursed her lips together and huffed- causing Lacey to cover her mouth to prevent her from hysterically laughing. Obviously she was talking about either three of her brothers band mates.

The milky galaxy mellowed around the pair of girls, while their tired souls yawned and talked about useless things, well- to Lacey anyway. The mosquitoes flew around their shoulders, never settling on their bodies but being swatted away via mid conversation.

Five minutes past, and then that's when Lacey saw it. That's all it took, just five whole minutes.

It was too quick for Angie to see but the person who was supposed to see it, did. And it started. It started again- not letting go like a spirit attached to what it once possessed.

Lacey couldn't move.

The sight that the girl spotted only lasted a couple seconds; or however long it took for a car to pass by a stationary pedestrian on the pavement. But it was enough- it was enough to destroy her. It was enough for her to feel as though someone got a used knife and shoved it into her heart. The feeling of this said knife was all too familiar- it wasn't clean; she was stabbed with it before. By the same person.

Then the feeling traveled up her neck and into her throat.

Lacey's eye grew foggy- but words couldn't be formed and her breath was barely getting out.

"Hey Lace do you think- oh my god."
