"I mean it was a bank robbery. So fucking old school. Like there's much easier places to rob now." I inspected my nails pissed that this afternoon had chipped my nails and I hadn't had time to sort it.

The music was loud as I downed the whiskey in the kitchen.

"You should have seen her. He had the gun to her head and she just laughed at him." I poured another glass as Daisy spoke loudly.

"Who held a gun to your head?" I looked up at Jaxson. I didn't even realise he was here. He looked concerned.

"Some gang at the bank this afternoon. Don't worry about it."

"Are you okay?"

"Are you seriously asking me if I'm okay? I took on 6 guys alone. Of course I'm fine. Not even a scratch. Chipped nail polish has pissed me off though." I smiled and took a sip as he stood on the other end of the island staring at me.

"Wait there was 6?" Iris practically shouted.

"Yeah I snapped one of their jaws in half. No one speaks to me like that. Prick deserved everything Roman gave him." I smirked and stood up straight. I watched as Jaxson's face pulled upwards. "He stood their calling me princess like I owed him something. I took his gun and shot his friends straight between the eyes before he could even blink. I could see him regretting all of his life's choices right there."

"So wait you just shot 2 men dead and broke another's jaw then come to the party and stand drinking whiskey?" I looked at Carlos and smirked tilting my head slightly

"Welcome to the business Carlos. You're looking at the queen of it." I faked a bow and smiled brightly. Jaxson shook his head but I could see even he was impressed with me.

"What did Roman do to them then?"

"Something about took them out of town and got their bosses names so they could deliver their heads."

"Oh fun." Sofia rolled her eyes. "You men are so dramatic. This is going to be a whole thing now right? Just because Lennox was in the bank at the wrong time."

"Yeah and we will get dragged into it too right?" Jesse knocked Jaxson's arm, dragging his attention back to the conversation rather than staring at me like he had been. "Jax?"

"Oh yeah probably."

"Give up, you guys love travelling and hunting people down. That's why you got into the job." I rolled my eyes as they poured themselves a drink each. Jaxson looked me up and down and nodded for me to follow him. I ducked my head into Lexie's ear.

"I'm being beckoned. I'll catch up with you soon."  I topped up my whiskey and walked out and down the hallway I saw Jaxson disappear into the room I'd stood in with Sonny last week. I walked into the room sitting on the table and setting my whiskey down beside me. He pushed the door closed and slowly walked over to me.

"Are you okay?" He looked me up and down like he was looking for something to prove I had been hurt.

"Not a scratch I swear." I smiled and went to pick up my glass but he stopped me. I raised my eyebrows at him. "I'm fine Jaxson."

"Are you sure?"

"I'm sure. I just killed 2 people and broke a thirds jaw. I'm perfect."

"Did they hurt you."

"Jaxson. I am not telling you again. I am fine. The closest he got to touching me was the gun against my forehead."

"WHAT." I rolled my eyes and took a sip.

"Don't act like that hasn't happened before Jaxson. Its fine. Stop being dramatic." He huffed and leaned against the table beside me, arms crossed over his chest.

"Why did you bring me in here?"  I asked point blank, breaking the silence in two.

"To make sure you were okay."

"Try again."  I put down my glass and raised my eyebrows at him.

"So I could get you alone for a few minutes." He stood up and moved so he was in front of me. "Have you thought about it yet?"

"Yes."

"Made a decision?"

"I'm still not sure if its a good idea or not." I tilted my head slightly watching over his all black outfit. I always forget how understated he dressed. He was always simple and classic in a black shirt and black pants. But when he rolled his sleeves up like that, I was pretty sure I'd need an ambulance if he didn't stop flexing.

"I don't think you're telling the truth to me." I smirked and he took a step forward.

"I'm not that easy to convince Jaxson."

"You could be." He stood barely touching my knees but almost. I looked straight into his eyes and he smiled. "Say yes."

"Make it worth my time then."

"I will." He smirked. "Did you wear that for me?"

"No." He raised an eyebrow.

"I call BS." I shook my head.

"Nope. I wore it for myself. Why you like it?"

"You could say that." He lowered his voice and placed his hands on either side of the table behind me. I focused on my breathing, keeping it steady.  "I've got to go away this week. What about Saturday?"

"What about it?" He threw his head back and sighed.

"Stop it."

"Stop what?"

"Playing hard to get."

"I'm not playing if I am just hard to get." He groaned and threw his head back down resting his forehead on mine.

"Do I need to demand it."

"I don't meet demands you know that too well."

"Fine. Please let me take you out next week." I smirked and pushed him back, grabbing my drink and taking a sip, not breaking eye contact for even a second. "Lennox please."

"Fine." I put my glass down "One date." He smiled brightly like I was an achievement. "Happy?"

"Very." I gave him a single nod and stood up.

"Right well I need a new drink and my friends so-"

"Wait." He grabbed my wrist and spun me around, wrapping his hand around my waist. "No games this time."

"No games." I agreed and he brought his head down to my face. His lips gently kissed my cheek before he stood up and stepped back.
