I turned and walked through the parting crowd pouring two glasses of whiskey and ice. I kept my sly smile plastered on my face. I knew exactly what I was doing. I spun around and walked around the dance floor, dodging in and around the smaller groups.

I watched as Jaxson's eyes moved from the drink and up to mine as I got closer to him. Did he really think this was for him? His eyes looked dark from here, like he knew he had won. It's a shame he hadn't. I walked straight past him and his friends as I stood at the front door slightly behind them. I smiled as Sonny walked up the front steps and held the drink out for him. He was confused.

"Roman told you I was here didn't he?" I smirked knowing Jaxson was watching us. Sonny nodded and I pulled his free hand into the party, dragging him to the back of the house. I could feel Jaxson's eyes on me the whole time and I could sense his jealousy without even needing to see him. He didn't know Sonny, had never seen him before. At first glance he doesn't look like the kind of guys my dad would hire. He was too pretty for it. No pre-broken nose, no visible scars.  He looked like a marriage candidate. Maybe that's why I didn't like him so much.

We were in a quieter section of the house now barely anyone came into this room unless it was to make out.

"I shouldn't be drinking." Sonny said as he put it down on the table. "I'm strictly here for work."

"Oh give up you're at a party. One won't kill you."

"No but it might kill you and that's why I'm here." I rolled my eyes at him. So dramatic.

"I don't even know why Roman sent you I'm fine."

"He didn't like what you were wearing. Again."

"He never does." I jumped up onto the table and sipped on the whiskey. At least the ice made it cooler.

"I'll be honest I didn't expect you to greet me with a whiskey and a smile."

"Let's just say I'm playing a little game." I raised my eyebrows as the glass laid on my lips again.

"With who?" I stared at him as the words left his mouth. "I need to know who you're toying with Lennox."

"My ex." I put the glass down on the table and rested my arms backwards. I watched as he raised his eyebrows.

"Ah, that explains the dress."

"This isn't for him. I have a reputation to uphold for this family. Unfortunately I can't go around shooting people to get it. As a woman I offer my power in how I'm presented to the world. Sexuality is power. All the men want me. That's power." I jumped off the table, grabbing my glass and walking around to his side of the table. The glass hung in my fingertips low.

"I make men go weak at their knees. I play games that get them dragged from parties so they can't kill me when they can no longer control their jealousy. Right now he's out there looking for me because he thinks you're a marriage candidate and he doesn't like other guys touching me." I looked at the door and smirked. I knew he'd be bursting through the door any second now.

"You really are a Brunelli aren't you." I took a step closer to Sonny and looked him in the eyes.

"And don't you forget it. I'm a lot more dangerous than people give me credit for." I heard footsteps down the hallway and smirked again. Here he comes. "Play the part and I'll put in a good word for you." I grabbed his hand and put it around my waist. He stood watching me not knowing what to do.

Sure enough the door burst open a second later and I snapped my head around to stare at it, slowly taking a sip of my whiskey as his black eyes stared me down. I smirked and put down my now empty glass and took a step back from Sonny.

"Have you met Jaxson Sonny?" I didn't take my eyes off Jaxson as he stood in the doorway whilst his friends tried to drag him from the room. They knew better than anyone the damage I could do. They'd seen it. I watched as Jaxson tried to walk towards Sonny and laughed when he backed down.

"You're starting to take this too far Lennox." Jesse said as his arm stayed spread across Jaxson's chest. "One of these days you're going to go too far."

"If he doesn't like this then he shouldn't come to these parties." I stared in his eyes trying to intimidate him back, show him I didn't care. "Jealous, Jaxson?" I slowly took a few steps forward until I was just 3 or 4 steps away. He could hit me from here if he tried. He wouldn't. I loved that I still had such a tight grip over him. Sure it might be a hateful grip but it was intense. Jaxson shook his friends off him and I smirked knowing he had calmed down now.

"Don't play games you can't win Jaxson. We all know how this ends. The doors that way. Just leave now so I can get back to what I was doing."

"I'm not fucking leaving." He growled. Our eyes were caught in a cross fire. Waiting for one to back down first.

"Then neither is Sonny."  It wasn't going to be me. Not a chance.

"Lennox." I turned my head to Carols who stood beside him. "Back down."

"Take him back to this weeks bitch. I'm sick of his face." I turned around quickly and slowly walked back to Sonny. He was in pure shock at the exchange happening before him. I'm 90% sure this wasn't what he was expecting when Roman sent him here. He was appearing calm but I could feel he wasn't.  I heard them walking down the hallway and sighed.

"What the fuck was that?" Sonny snapped as I sat back on the table.

"That was the end of my little game."

"That was fucking Jaxson Di Marco." I raised my eyebrows.

"Oh shit really that's news to me." I rolled my eyes.

"He's you're ex?"

"Well yeah how else do you think my dad started working with them? It wasn't coincidental."

"You can't play games with them like that." I put my feet back on the floor and started back towards the door. I needed another drink.

"You can't stop me." I didn't need to turn around as I walked into the hallway I knew Sonny was following me.
