Chapter 5
2006 - Anthony’s POV
Sitting down in class, it took me a while to realise that brown haired girl in front of me was her, She turned her head and smiled at me and I smiled back this time, not wanting her to think of me as someone who is rude, it was all in waste though as she turned back around straight away. She was talking to that gay guy, Mike, Mark – something like that. Her laugh was captivating, one of those infectious laughs that made you want to find out what ever it was that made her laugh and make it happen 10 times over just to keep hearing her laugh. She sat there almost the entire class tapping her pen and concentrating intently on the work assigned to us. Even though I couldn’t see her face, I imagined that she would have the cutest thinking face I’d ever seen.
God, what is it with the girl that has my thoughts so wrapped up in her. Cutest thinking face? Who even says that? Ergh, I’m losing my brain over her and I only know her name.
I walked near her talking to one of her friends at lunch time, I didn’t want to get close enough to hear the conversation but I did hear the blonde from my science class, Jenn I think her name is, say Lou. Even if that is just a nick name, I’ll take it. I know one thing about her now and it’s a much better position than I was in 2 hours ago.
What I do know, Her friends call her Lou, she is popular, she is in my Drama and Psychology classes, she has brown hair and the most striking hazel eyes I have ever seen and she’s smiled at me, 3 times now. It isn’t much, but it’s something. And I plan on making it my mission to learn more. Now that I know a nickname, and I know that Chris is friends with her, Perhaps I can find her myspace and add her on there. Given that she has smiled at me, and that she is friends with everyone, I hope she won’t mind me adding her, she probably wont even realise who I am though. Oh well, If I want to be friends with this girl I’m going to have to man up.
Watching her in class may have been a bit creepy, but I learnt a bit about her. She was smart, always offering up the answer when the teacher asked, and she wasn’t afraid to speak her mind (although her opinion on my music taste had already led me to know that much). She was also really caring, her friend next to her was struggling with some of the questions and she stopped her own work to help and explain it to her friend without so much as a sigh. She really didn’t seem to mind her friend asking for help. The way she spoke to him was gentle and soft, she spoke softly enough that unless you were staring obsessively at her back, you wouldn’t have heard, and she was patient, explaining the same thing 3 different ways so that her friend understood.
The more I watched, the more I liked. She pulled her phone out a bit during class, and it looked like she was texting someone. However, unlike the rest of the class she payed attention most of the time. It made me want to pay attention, and that’s certainly saying something.
If I hadn’t been listening to her conversation, I wouldn’t have known she was lying when she suddenly turned around to Chris and asked him if he understood the question. I had just listened to her explain it perfectly to her friend so I didn’t understand why she was asking Chris. Looking dumbly at Chris waiting for him to answer, I missed the fact that she was again smiling at me, until Chris nudged roughly with his elbow. I looked up and realised she was actually looking pointedly at me and not Chris. All of a sudden I forgot how to speak, I could feel my cheeks getting redder and redder and while stumbling on my words I quickly explained the difference between the frontal and temporal lobes to her, knowing full well that she understood the difference.

Genç KurguI'd like to say this isn't just another cliche story about two kids falling in love, but I'd be lying. Majorly lying. 7 years, a few heart wrenching moments, a million amazing memories later and I have just said 'I Do' to the most wonderful man...
